Biden: Indian-Americans 'Are Taking Over This Country,' and Other 'Racist' Things Democrats Can Say and Get Away With

In this episode of “Imagine If,” we consider the reactions of various groups to various statements, depending on who made the statements. For example, if Donald Trump had said “Indians of decent Americans are taking over this country,” what would the reactions have been from Democrat lawmakers, the mainstream media, and the left-wing loons?

We’ll get there.

But if Joe Biden or any other Democrat made the exact same statement — “Indians of decent Americans are taking over this country” (yes, bad syntax, but Biden) — what would the reaction be from “all of the above”? We’ll get there, too.

Welp, Donald Trump didn’t make that statement. But Joe Biden did.

As reported by The New York Post, Biden went full-metal Biden on Thursday while congratulating a group of NASA engineers for their work on the Mars 2020 Mission, including the successful landing of the Perseverance Rover.

Biden directed the comment to Swati Mohan, NASA’s guidance and controls operations lead for the landing, who migrated to the U.S. as a child with her parents.

“It’s amazing. Indians of descent Americans are taking over this country … I tell you what, thanks. You guys are incredible.”

Why do I think Biden’s “You guys are incredible” comment was in reference to Indian-Americans in general, as opposed to Perseverance mission engineers?

“It’s amazing. Indian of descent Americans are taking over this country … I tell you what, thanks. You guys are incredible.”

Yeah, that’s not racist at all.

Biden’s comment was part of a larger comment, in which he also said:

“One of the reasons why we’re such an incredible country is we’re such a diverse country. We bring the best out of every single solitary culture in the world, here in the United States of America, and we give people an opportunity to let their dreams run forward.”

Now the questions — and answers.

Was Biden’s “taking over this country” comment — as part of his larger statement and context — “racist”? No. (Stay with me.) Could he have made the observation in a better way? Of course. Again, Biden. Did the liberal media immediately break into histrionics fits of condemnation, label Biden a “racist,” “white supremacist,” “bigot,” all three, or worse?

Of course, not.

If Donald Trump had made the exact same comment — in the exact same context — would the reaction of the left and its liberal media sock puppets had been the same as their (non-)reaction to Biden saying it? Even in the context that Biden said it?

Oh hell no.

CNN, MSNBC, The New York Times, The Washington Post, social media, Planet Hollywood Looney Tunes, the lunatics on “The View,” et al. would have hysterically reduced themselves to an apoplectic heap of hypocritical anger and indignation.

That is the point of this article.

The jackasses would have done their best to destroy Trump — exactly as they tried to torch him beyond recognition for everything he did, said, or tweeted, from the nanosecond he first hit the campaign trail in the summer of 2015 — and they’ve never stopped trying.

So why the difference? Solely for political expediency. Except for the stage-4 Trump Derangement Syndrome morons — Nancy Pelosi is their hood ornament — who believe Trump is the Devil’s own spawn, of course.

Dopey Snopes “fact-checked” Biden’s comment, asking: “Did Biden Say Indian Americans Are ‘Taking Over’ the U.S.?” The verdict? “Mixture.” Check out the ridiculous advanced-rationalization:

What’s True:

“During a virtual meeting with NASA scientists on March 4, 2021, Biden literally used the phrase “taking over the country” while describing what he believes is a growing number of Indian Americans assuming high-profile roles in U.S. politics and science.”

What’s False:

“However, based on the context of the statement, it was erroneous of some people to claim that the president believed an unknown group of Indian-Americans was immediately assuming control of the federal government, or that Indian Americans now represented the majority of the country’s population, for better or worse.”

Yeah, I’m gonna call BS. The “what’s true” observations of Snopes — same clowns who are wont to “fact-check” satire from The Babylon Bee — are mostly correct. On the other hand, show me one sane person who believes an unknown group of Indian-Americans are immediately going to assume control of the federal government, or is stupid enough to believe Indian-Americans are the majority of America. Just one.

As most of us know, Biden has a long and storied history of race-related gaffes. One of his best efforts came during the 2008 presidential campaign. After walking into what appeared to be an Indian-American business, Biden said:

“As you know I’ve got a lot of support in this Indian community. I’ve had great relationship. In Delaware, the largest growth in population is Indian Americans, moving from India. You cannot go to a 7-11 or Dunkin Donuts unless you have a slight Indian accent.”

As I asked at the top, can you imagine if a Republican said this? So did conservative activist Charlie Kirk — along with, “why is the media not covering this blatant racist attack towards immigrants and people of color?” — sarcastically.

If you watched closely, you saw Biden set up the “joke.” Just by the look on his face. After he said it, was he proud of himself or what? Just like people who tell stupid jokes that aren’t funny, then laugh really loud — when no one else does.

So at least Joe learned his lesson, in the aftermath of the fallout. Yeah, no.

In a speech in New Hampshire in 2012, then-vice-president Biden went one step further, busting out an Indian accent, Biden-style. As I’ve said before, can’t make it up, don’t have to.

And again, if Donald Trump or any Republican did that? Yeah.

Finally, just for grins, I picked the following ten quotes from a list of 40 “Worst of Joe Biden in Quotes.” For your reading enjoyment:

“If you have a problem figuring out whether you’re for me or Trump, then you ain’t black.”

“They’re gonna put y’all back in chains.”

“Unless we do something about this, my children are going to grow up in a jungle, the jungle being a racial jungle with tensions having built so high that it is going to explode at some point.”

“You cannot go to a 7-11 or Dunkin Donuts unless you have a slight Indian accent.”

“By the way, what you all know but most people don’t know, unlike the African-American community, with notable exceptions, the Latino community is an incredibly diverse community with incredibly different attitudes about different things.”

“I mean, you got the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy. I mean, that’s a storybook, man.”

“Poor kids are just as bright and just as talented as white kids.”

“I spent last summer going through the Black sections of my town, holding rallies in parks, trying to get Black men to understand it is not unmanly to wear a condom, getting women to understand they can say no, getting people in the position where testing matters. I got tested for AIDS. I know Barack got tested for AIDS.”

“I organized a civil rights boycott because they wouldn’t serve black kids. One of our football players was black and we went there, and they said they wouldn’t serve him. And I said to the others, ‘Hey, we can’t go in there.’ So, we all left.” (He did no such thing.)

“When I marched in the Civil Rights movement, I did not march with a 12-point program, I marched with tens of thousands of others to change attitudes, and we changed attitudes.” (Nope, didn’t happen.)

But here’s the thing about Biden and his gaffes — not to be confused with his regular demonstrations of a serious decline of mental acuity, by the way. As he once described a medical procedure he underwent, it’s a wonder he survived, or at the very least was not left in a vegetative state.

“You know, as we used to say in the Senate, excuse the point of personal privilege here: I had two cranial aneurysms, and they literally had to take the top of my head off.

“I mean, they take a saw and they cut your head off and go in to find the artery that is–one was leaking, the other that hadn’t, before it burst.”

See? Explains a lot. Now I’m ashamed of myself for picking on the poor guy.
