And There It Is: Biden Spokesperson Says AOC Won't Be Disappointed With Biden's 'Incredibly Progressive and Aggressive' Agenda

If Joe Biden has learned anything during his 47 years in D.C. politics it is this: the pandering old dude knows how to play both sides against the middle as well as anyone. From fracking to health care, and beyond, Joseph Robinette Biden Jr. — the pretend-champion of blue-collar America — talks out of both sides of his mouth like a champ.

Following an election in which House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s Democrat Caucus took it in the shorts, the Democrat Party is more at war with itself than with the Republicans, with the likes of the Squad — Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (NY), Omar Ilhan (MN), Rashida Tlaib (MI), and Ayanna Pressley (MA) — and of course, Bernie Sanders and the 1/1,064th Native American, Elizabeth Warren, pitted against the so-called “centrist” wing of the party, consisting of lawmakers like Conor Lamb (PA), Abigail Spanberger (MA), James Clyburn (SC), and Steny Hoyer (MD).

During a “private” Democrat Caucus conference call — which leaked like a sieve —  last week, less than 24 hours after the election, the “centrists” lashed out at “liberals,” blaming their far-left views for costing the party seats.

It is against this backdrop that Biden must navigate, assuming he becomes president. And how does he plan to steer his often rudderless ship? According to Biden Deputy Campaign Manager and Communications Director Kate Bedingfield, AOC & Co. won’t be disappointed. During an appearance on “Meet the Press” on Sunday, Bedingfield told host Chuck Todd — himself giddy over the election results — that Biden’s policies will track with his campaign promises — most of which were vague, at best.

Todd broached the subject of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s concerns that now that Biden has “won the election,” he will abandon her far-left views (which I’ll have more on in an article later today) in favor of more centrist policies, as transcribed by Daily Wire.

Todd began with his thoughts on Biden’s Saturday night speech.

“The president-elect last night said this about his mandate (there’s that buzzword talking point, again). ‘They’ve given us a mandate for action on COVID, the economy, climate change, and systemic racism’ (uh-huh). I feel like he laid out four pillars of his focus. Explain how will we that over the next couple of weeks, during this transition.”

After running through a stock answer about whatever, Bedingfield brought up the silly notion — as have Biden and his multitude of wingmen — about how Biden is magically going to “unify” the country — by “lowering the temperature,” she said, “by setting aside the harsh rhetoric of the campaign.”

OK, stop the tape. These are the same people who for four years called Donald Trump a racist, white supremacist, xenophobe, homophobe, Islamophobe, misogynist, and worse — and they honestly think that Biden — who himself called Trump a “clown” and told him to “shut up” during the first debate — is going to fix all that? As Biden himself might say, gimme a break, man.

The conversation soon turned to placating the Leftists, principally AOC.

“Some people hear the word consensus on the Left and they think it means you’re gonna sell the Left out. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez said this in an interview about her expectations on how the Biden administration will be to the Left of the party, and she says, ‘The history of the party tends to be that we get really excited about the grassroots to get elected, and then those communities are promptly abandoned right after an election.’”

“Let me ask you this, Todd said. “Do you believe that she’s going to be disappointed or not when she sees the agenda of the Biden administration in the first six months?” Bedingfield assured him that AOC & Co. will not be disappointed with Biden’s agenda.

“No, I think that Vice President Biden campaigned on an incredibly progressive and aggressive agenda. Take a look, for example, at his climate plan. It’s the boldest, biggest climate plan that’s ever been put forward by, you know, by a nominee running for president, and now a president-elect.

“He’s gonna make good on those commitments. I mean we, you know, he spent time during this campaign bringing people together around this climate plan. He was able to get the endorsement of groups like the Sunrise Movement and the endorsement of Labor for this plan. It’s a big, aggressive plan. It’s a perfect example of the kind of, you know, big effort that he is going to make to meet this moment and to meet these crises that we’re in.”

Check it out.

Assuming this election is over — and that is an assumption that is far from a consensus, given what we saw in Philadelphia, Milwaukee, Atlanta, and elsewhere — Joe Biden and the Democrat Party — including TDS-riddled Nancy Pelosi, who behaved like a deranged lunatic for the entirety of Trump’s four years in office —are in for a rude awakening if they think that anywhere near a majority of Republicans, particularly Trump loyalists, are simply going to roll over and sing Kumbaya with them.

Think about it.

These are the same people who spent four years not accepting the results of an election — during which time they did everything their TDS-afflicted selves could think of to reverse — who are now calling on our side to accept the results of an election, less than a week out, which is not even close to being certified. Yep, gimme a break, man.
