The good news: After 28 days, presumptive Democrat presidential nominee Joe Biden finally held a news conference on Tuesday. The bad news: He only took questions from a pre-approved list of reporters.
After opening comments, Biden wearily looked around the room as he took the list from his coat pocket. “I’m happy to take your questions,” he said; “Let me get my list.” (He looked anything but happy.)
“I’m supposed to call on people,” he said at one point, again referring to the trusty list — no doubt provided by a breath-holding staffer.
GOP Rapid Response Director Steve Guest tweeted a short video clip of Biden pulling the list from his coat pocket and studying it for a few seconds. “Joe looks a little rusty in understanding how press conferences work,” he said. (See: “understatement.”)

So the questions came. Oh, those hard-hitting questions.
Yup, the soon-to-be Democrat presidential nominee was “drilled” with some pretty hardcore Pulitzer-worthy stuff, as White House Press Secretary Kayleigh MacEnany — who is shredded by the TDS-riddled “mainstream” media on a daily basis — wryly mocked.
“Shredders” they were not.
Speaking as someone who often takes tough questions, the questions Biden receives are an embarrassment to journalism…

As Biden opened the press conference, he said: “Welcome to Kingswood Community Center, everyone.”
Just one problem. He was in the William “Hicks” Anderson Center.
Catching his mistake, the oft-confused candidate momentarily got that all-too-well-known Joe Biden deer-in-headlights look on his face. “Actually, that’s the one down I [sic] used to work.” “It was a joke,” he said, nervously laughing. “I didn’t know where we were.”
Eric Trump was all over that one like Michael Moore getting after a Double Quarter Pounder with Cheese and a large order of fries.

Biden promised (that would be “warned,” to conservatives) to be “the most Progressive president in history.”

As an aside, I’ve always been amused by today’s Democrats smugly referring to themselves as “progressive.” Progressive how?
Then again, if attempting to deny free speech to political opponents, attacking the Second Amendment rights of lawful gun owners, and government mandates on everything from wearing masks to denying working Americans the right open their businesses and make a living are examples of “progress,” I stand corrected [sarc].
In other comments, Biden pledged to “pay and support our caregivers who overwhelmingly, as I said, are women of color.” Imagine for a nanosecond the histrionics on the Left if Donald Trump were to broadly declare “our caregivers” to be “women of color.”
As speculation intensifies over whom he will tap as his vice-presidential running mate, Biden said he’d announce his decision during the first week of August. Much of the speculation has been focussed on Rep. Kamala Harris (D-CA), who famously went after Joe on the issue of race during the first Democrat presidential debate in June.
Harris shredded Biden over his past positions on bussing, and his support of former Sen. James Eastland (D-MS), a Mississippi segregationist who once called to “abolish the Negro race.”
Harris told Biden she didn’t believe he was a racist” — “but.”
“I do not believe you are a racist. s said, “and I agree with you when you commit yourself to the importance of finding common ground. But I also believe — and it’s personal, it was hurtful — to hear you talk about two United States senators who built their reputations and careers on the segregation of race in this country. It was not only that; you also worked with them to oppose bussing.”
A moment later, Harris convincingly knocked Biden to the mat, as political pundits declared at the time.
“There was a little girl in California who was part of the second class to integrate her public schools, and she was bussed to school every day. That little girl was me.”
Politico on Wednesday first reported that Biden has already selected Harris, before editing the piece and adding a disclaimer.

As the old saying goes, politics makes strange bedfellows. That said, I’ll go out on a (fairly safe) limb and predict that Biden will indeed select Harris. A Democrat dream ticket? Hardly.
An elderly Democrat, who clearly appears to be in cognitive decline, selecting a much younger black woman as his running mate, in a transparent attempt to kill as many Democrat birds with one stone (secure votes) as he can, hoping the selection of Harris will quell concerns about his mental state among members of his own party?
You bet.
