Remember this guy? Michael Dukakis, Democrat, former Massachusetts and failed presidential candidate is giving out unsolicited advice to President-elect Trump. Not sure why anyone cares what Dukakis thinks, as most of us instantly picture him sitting in a tank, “play army” when we hear his name. This did not stop him from giving an interview on Friday to Rita Cosby of WABC in New York.
“What is he doing at three in the morning and commenting on Arnold Schwarzenegger’s performance on ‘The Apprentice’?” he told New York City’s WABC during an interview Friday. “Give me a break.”
He added: “It’s time for Trump to get off Twitter and start acting like the president of the United States because he’s got a lot of work ahead of him. He’s got important decisions to make and this kind of nonsense has really got to stop.”
I’m struggling to figure out why Dukakis was brought in for an interview in the first place, he’s not exactly been relevant since losing handily to George H. W. Bush in 1998. But while he was on the air, he took the opportunity to scold Trump and FBI Director James Comey for their roles in Hillary Clinton’s loss. These people are never going to get over it are they?
“He ought to be ashamed of himself for this kind of stuff, calling her a crook and that kind of nonsense,” he said. “She’s a good person.”
Dukakis like many Hillary supporters, has decided that it was the reporting on Hillary’s crimes that was wrong, not her actually committing them. He blames Comey for writing the infamous letter outlining the questionable activity on the e-mails and the FBI probe, not Hillary Clinton. And She would have gotten away with it too, if not for those meddling reports…
“Eleven days before the election I think Hillary pretty much had it and then all of the sudden you had this thing. I do think it had a profound effect in the election. There’s no question about it.
Dukakis doesn’t mention the Clinton Campaign’s poor strategy in the mid-west, he did however call for James Comey to resign for his role in Hillary’s loss.
