Mainstream Media “Fall Over Each Other to Support” Hamas Terrorist Propaganda

Hamas' armed wing spokesman speaks during a news conference in Gaza

It has been well documented that Hamas, a recognized terrorist organization, has been intentionally firing thousands of rockets at Israeli civilians while using Palestinian civilians as human shields, basing their attacks in hospitals, and hiding their rockets in schools.

Despite these grave war crimes and violation of any semblance of humanity, the mainstream media has bought into Hamas’s propaganda campaign.  The terrorists want to be viewed as the victims, and somehow the media is buying into that narrative hook line and sinker.

There are numerous examples of this, like when CNN was confronted by Israel’s Ambassador to the U.S. for refusing to report that Hamas was storing rockets in schools:

Just today the Associated Press, which is supposed to be the apex of independent journalism, sent out this tweet:

This is right out of Hamas’s propaganda playbook, and AP is running with it as objective journalism.

Caught in their own pro-Hamas terrorist bias, AP essentially retracted their tweet a few hours later:

The pro-Hamas bias of the mainstream media is palpable, and it matters.  Our perception of the conflict between terrorist thugs and Israel is not only influenced but is driven by the “facts” that we see reported.  This kind of biased reporting has a significant impact on world opinion and fosters widespread anti-Semitism.

Terrorists should be called terrorists.  Terrorist tactics should be decried.  And self-defense should be lauded.  But in the upside-down and backwards, pro-Hamas mainstream media we see terrorists martyred and their civilian targets condemned.

At the ACLJ, we’re working to combat the misinformation and defend Israel.  Take action with us by signing the Petition to Stand with Israel – Not Terrorists.
