Biden Says Willingness to Restart the Iran Nuclear Deal Has Nothing to Do With Iran Trying to Kill Americans

President Joe Biden says he is willing to work with Iran and restart the Iran nuclear deal after former President Donald Trump withdrew from the deal.

In 2018, when Trump withdrew from the Iran nuclear deal, he said:

“We cannot prevent an Iranian bomb under the decaying and rotten structure of the current agreement … Therefore, I am announcing today that the United States will withdraw from the Iran nuclear deal.”

In 2015, under the nuclear deal, Iran agreed to dismantle most of its nuclear program and open its facilities to large-scale international inspections in exchange for billions of dollars worth of sanctions relief. In 2018, Trump pulled the United States out of the deal, and in 2021, Biden announced that the United States would return to the deal if Iran began complying again.

On numerous occasions, the Taliban and mullahs of Iran have chanted “death to America.” In August of 2021, RedState’s Nick Arama reported how Clarissa Ward, a CNN reporter, embarrassingly described how the Taliban was chanting “death to America.”

“They’re just chanting death to America, but they seem friendly at the same time. It’s utterly bizarre.”

Bizzare, indeed. Ward also said that the group chanting “death to America” told her to stand to the side because she is a woman. Yet she called the chants “friendly.”

Now, Biden wants to negotiate with the Taliban regarding the Iran nuclear deal. Biden noted that this negotiation has nothing to do with Iran trying to kill Americans.

One of the goals of this deal was to prevent Iran from getting nuclear weapons. According to numerous experts on the matter, if all parties stick to their pledges, the deal almost undoubtedly achieves that goal for longer than a decade. That is the trade-off, but Iran would get billions of dollars worth of sanction relief. So this deal is not all black and white.

But looking at this from the lens of negotiating with a group that chants “death to America,” you would think the Biden administration would think twice before negotiating with them. The same group has also chanted, “death to America, death to Israel.” Israel is a strong ally to America.

Former United States ambassador to the United Nations, Nikki Haley, spoke about the Biden administration’s attempt to resuscitate the nuclear deal on Fox News.

“Iran is selling drones to Russia and attacking American troops, and President Biden still wants to make a deal with the Ayatollahs … It’s a slap in the face to Israel and our Arab allies, and dangerous for America.”

As Biden negotiates with Saudi Arabia on oil, if the administration rejoins this nuclear deal, it would be a disaster, as Iran would be getting billions of dollars while they continue to threaten the United States.
