Everyone at this point assumes with near total certainty that Trump will select Mike Pence, because he obviously makes the most sense among the available options. However, what this means is that everyone has forgotten who Trump is, and that’s someone who makes bad decisions. Definitely, the fact that Trump is campaigning with Pence tonight is a clue, but you know what? Trump campaigns with people all the time, and maybe he just wanted to go to Indiana.
This, on the other hand? This is huge:
“Fox News Channel has mutually agreed to suspend its contributor agreement” with Newt Gingrich “effective immediately.” Story TK.

If Fox News and Newt just happened to coincidentally decide to part ways right in the middle of Trump’s VP announcement week, right when Newt is being floated around as one of the possible names… well, that would be one hell of a coincidence. It’s possible, I guess, but I wouldn’t go so far as to call it probable. Meanwhile, Fox News’s statement says they are doing this to avoid unwanted attention:

Which is totally believable because if there’s one thing Fox News is known for, it’s making sure their on-air commentators are not involved in any events that cause excess publicity. LOL.
