Obama's Biased NLRB: New NLRB Progressive Propaganda Chief Comes Straight From AFSCME HQ

Should there be any doubters remaining that Barack Obama’s National Labor Relations Board is a revolving door from which union bosses’ minions are planted to serve unions’ interests, one only need to look at the latest hire at the NLRB.

According to a press release last week on the NLRB’s website, “progressive” Gregory King has been hired as the new Director of the Office of Public Affairs.

On June 16, 2013, Gregory J. King joined the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) as Director of the Office of Public Affairs. King will represent and advise the Chairman, the Acting General Counsel and other NLRB senior leaders on matters relating to media relations, public affairs, social media, and internal and external communications.

King is a longtime communications professional, with more than three decades of experience communicating about political, legislative and labor issues at both the state and national levels. Most recently, he served as Assistant Director of Communications for the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees (AFSCME). Earlier, King worked as a senior communications advisor to the president of the American Federation of Teachers (AFT) and, from 1988 to 1995, as Communications Director of the Human Rights Campaign….

Here is then-AFSCME’s King at the 2010’s Netroots Nation:

King replaces the NLRB’s former propaganda minister, Nancy Cleeland, who left the NLRB to go to work for the Carpenter’s union earlier this year.

Since the NLRB was taken over by union attorneys in 2009, the neutrality and legitimacy of the labor board has been successfully challenged by both employers and the courts.

Last week’s hiring of yet another in a long line of union activists only demonstrates what most already know: Barack Obama’s NLRB has become nothing more than a receptacle for union bosses’ minions to do their masters’ bidding.
