Is one of Trump's Policy Advisors an Anti-Semitic Holocaust Denier?

Accusations of anti-Semitism in the Donald Trump campaign are nothing new, but rarely are they more solid than this.

Joseph Schmitz, one of Trump’s five foreign policy advisors, was accused of bragging about pushing out Jewish employees when he worked for the Department of Defense.

Daniel Meyer, a senior official within the intelligence community, described Schmitz’s remarks in his complaint file.

“His summary of his tenure’s achievement reported as ‘…I fired the Jews,’ ” wrote Meyer, a former official in the Pentagon inspector general’s office whose grievance was obtained by McClatchy.

As if that was not bad enough to have said, Schmitz allegedly crossed the line by miles with his comments on the Holocaust:

In his complaint, Meyer said Crane also said Schmitz played down the extent of the Holocaust.

“In his final days, he allegedly lectured Mr. Crane on the details of concentration camps and how the ovens were too small to kill 6 million Jews,” wrote Meyer, whose complaint is before the Merit Systems Protection Board (MSPB).

Schmitz defended himself, claiming that he could not possibly be anti-Semitic because his wife is Jewish.

“The allegations are completely false and defamatory,” Schmitz said in an interview Tuesday.

“I do not recall ever even hearing of any ‘allegations of anti-Semitism against [me],’ which would be preposterously false and defamatory because, among other reason(s), I am quite proud of the Jewish heritage of my wife of 38 years,” he wrote in an email.

Allegedly, and I only say allegedly because this case is still ongoing and has not been settled, Joseph Schmitz is an anti-Semitic piece of trash. This would ordinarily be something that a presidential campaign would have caught in the vetting process, but it is obvious that Donald Trump either does not vet his campaign staff and affiliates or he does and he has yet again done all he can to surround himself with anti-Semitic trash in order to reach out to the white nationalist base that is the only thing keeping his campaign alive. I want to give the benefit of the doubt, but after countless instances of Trump and his campaign engaging in anti-Semitism this cannot be a coincidence.
