Earlier today, Redstate reported on the slow-motion implosion of Kamala Harris’ presidential campaign. The senator from California was an early favorite to pull ahead of the field, given her connections to the Obama’s and her obvious currency in the identity politics arena. Suddenly, she finds herself floundering in field full of subpar candidates and seemingly unable to figure out how to turn things around.

In late September, it was widely reported that Harris was in the midst restructuring her senior campaign staff in an effort to reverse her campaign’s slow but steady freefall.

Fast forward four weeks later and we have the biggest sign yet that the writing is on the wall for Team Kamala. Why? Because layoffs are happening:

It turns out things may be worse for Harris than anyone imagined. It looks like she’s being outpaced in donations in her own state…and by none other the President Donald Trump.

According to a recent analysis from the Los Angeles Times, Trump raised $10.78 million from California donors donating $200 or more from July-September.

This is more than the top four Democrats combined — as California Sen. Kamala Harris, Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders, South Bend Mayor Pete Buttigieg and former Vice President Joe Biden raised a combined $9.94 million. Harris led the Dems with $2.84 million on donations exceeding $200, and was followed by Sanders at $2.42 million, Buttigieg at $2.35 million and Biden at $2.33 million.

What’s more, the L.A.Times also discovered that the majority of Trump’s donations were coming from southern California – a liberal bastion.

Perhaps what should be most alarming for the campaign is that the majority of Harris’ donations seem to be coming from Hollywood and the Bay area. Neither of those two regions enjoy a very good reputation in greater California, or even in the country.

Whether Trump could actually flip true blue California is still quite up in the air, but certainly this is yet another nail in the coffin of Kamala Harris’ no good, very bad, terrible presidential campaign.
