In case you forgot, Robert “Beto” O’Rourke is still around and running for president.

O’Rourke’s star first rose thanks to the help of Hollywood stars who were so desperate to oust Cruz in Texas that they artificially inflated the value of a newbie politician and gave him a superhero makeover like only Tinseltown can do. Unfortunately no one explained to the pickup-truck-posing politico that in Hollywood guys like him only get fifteen minutes of fame.

As the clock tick’s on O’Rourke’s campaign, he’s working on the Democrat 2020 Presidential Candidate checklist line-by-line, crossing all the Ts and live streaming all the dental appointments.

• Condemn Trump – check
• Immigrants, immigrants, immigrants – check
• Chick-Fil-A rage – check
• Gun control – check
• Trump is a racist – check, check, check, check’

In the latest attempt to fulfill the checklist, “Beto” spoke about the now infamous Trump rally in North Carolina where some audience members began chanting “Send her back” when Trump made a reference to Ilhan Omar. But what’s an average white guy supposed to do when everyone has already used up all the good Nazi references?

Dig deeper, naturally…and dig he did. O’Rourke doubled down on the Nazi talk by suggesting in an ABC interview that the North Carolina rally looked more like “an impromptu Nuremberg rally”.

“What we saw in North Carolina last week was almost an impromptu Nuremberg rally, inciting hatred and ultimately, implicit violence against people of color, people. Based on their religion and based on their difference from the majority. And it is in keeping with the president who describes Mexican immigrants as rapists and criminals, who describes asylum seekers as animals and an infestation. The man who calls Klansman very fine people. It very clear the path he is taking us on.”

There’s nowhere left to go for Beto. He’s been out-everymanned by Buttegieg and even his Hollywood friends have publicly recognized that their excitement for him was largely based in a desire to punish a red state. There are too many other candidates on the Democrat roster with a better “virtue” rating. How can a Hollywooder endorse the white guy who lost to Ted Cruz when they can choose a woman, hispanic man, woman of color, Black man, gay man…it’s a list too juicy for a liberal celebrity type to pass up.
