President-Elect Donald Trump kicked off the first day in December by traveling to the state of Ohio to thank the voters for delivering their key electoral votes to the Trump campaign.
Mr. Trump began by apologizing for the road delays, admitting he had no clue “that they close down the roads around the stadium for an hour and a half” because of his new status. He then went on to explain that he felt compelled to thank Ohioans because “in the true sense history called and the people of the great state of Ohio answered.”
The President-Elect also thanked Carrier for agreeing to remain in the U.S. The 54-minute speech rehashed many of his campaign promises and included the announcement of General James Mattis as defense secretary.
Here is the speech in full.
