White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt weighed in on the daycare fraud that’s been exposed in Minnesota under Democrat Governor Tim Walz and said, “people will be in handcuffs" as she shared how every aspect of the administration is getting involved.

During her appearance on Wednesday on Fox and Friends, Leavitt was asked about President Donald Trump’s response to the rampant Somali fraud discovered in Minnesota under Walz's leadership.

"President Trump is not going to let Governor Walz off the hook," Leavitt said, pointing out that Trump has called out Walz's incompetence for a long time.

Leavitt talked about the work by independent new media journalists like Nick Shirley and the video he posted that went viral of the empty Minnesota daycare centers, revealing that, as a result, the WH has “surged resources across the board to the state.”

“This is a top priority for the administration,” the press secretary said. “The Department of Justice, as we speak, is continuing to execute search warrants and subpoenas. People will be in handcuffs as a result of the fraud that @GovTimWalz has allowed to occur for many, many years.”

“The Department of Homeland Security is conducting door-to-door investigations on the ground at potential fraud sites, and they're also conducting continued deportations of illegal aliens in Minnesota's communities,” she added.

"We're also not afraid to use denaturalization," Leavitt continued. "That's a tool at the President and the Secretary of State's disposal, and it's one this administration has previously used before. Our entire administration is working around the clock to get to the bottom of it.”

The White House press secretary also pointed out that the entire Trump cabinet is involved in finding out how deep this Minnesota day care fraud goes, with the Health and Human Services Department's recent announcement that it was cutting off “all child care funding to the state of Minnesota until” the administration can get to the bottom of the fraud, as RedState reported.

And the Department of Labor is now investigating the state’s unemployment insurance program.

On Wednesday, my RedState colleague Teri Christoph reported that the Republican House Oversight Committee will soon hold hearings on the fraud being revealed in the state.

Christoph wrote:

Chairman James Comer (KY-01) announced Wednesday that his committee will begin holding hearings on the growing Minnesota Somali fraud scandal next week. The first hearing is scheduled for January 7, and will feature the testimonies of three Minnesota Republican lawmakers. A second hearing is scheduled for February 10, with Minnesota Governor Tim Walz and its attorney general, Keith Ellison, invited to answer questions from Congress.
