The White House once again has shut down what it's calling "total fake" news that Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem is getting the boot.
In a post on Monday on X, the White House Deputy Press Secretary Abigail Jackson shut down an MS NOW (formerly MSNBC) report alleging that a White House official told them Noem is on "very thin ice" with President Trump.
As I told MS Now when they reached out, this is all fake news. Secretary Noem is doing a great job implementing the President’s agenda and making America safe again. https://t.co/zAPYC4QjyE

"As I told MS Now when they reached out, this is all fake news," Jackson wrote on X. "Secretary Noem is doing a great job implementing the President's agenda and making America safe again."
In a statement to Fox News, Jackson added:
"Everything about this is total Fake News. Secretary Noem is doing a great job implementing the President's agenda and making America safe again. MS Now continues to beclown themselves by inventing narratives that simply are not true."
DHS Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin also shut down the claim, telling the outlet, "I can't speak for the President, but I've seen more credible reporting on Big Foot."
The MS NOW piece alleged that four sources told them that "the President is considering removing Kristi Noem as DHS Secretary as early as next month." The White House correspondent, Jake Traylor, indicated the official he spoke with said the "decision is not actually fully finalized," and that "there is potential that she maybe sticks around."
It's the latest story alleging that Noem could be replaced as early as January as part of a restructuring move ahead of the one-year mark of his second term in office, as RedState reported.
New ''Fake News'' Claim About Trump and Flag at the White House Fails Badly When Facts Drop
In November, it was White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt who shut down the CNN report about Noem's ousting in a headline that read:
"Trump officials prepare for potential cabinet shakeup after one-year mark," claiming this was according to "multiple people familiar with discussions."
This story is 100% Fake News, and the White House repeatedly told this to CNN in the strongest possible terms. Yet they still wrote the story because their ratings are dying so they thrive off drama that does not exist.

"The truth is: President Trump could not be happier with his Cabinet," she added. "Shame on you, CNN."
Another White House official shut down the claim that Noem was on her way out, CNN reported in the piece.
"The President loves Kristi. He loves the job she's doing," one senior White House official told CNN, pushing back on the notion that the former South Dakota governor was on the chopping block.
