The House destroyed the Democrats' latest attempts to punish President Donald Trump following his authorization of airstrikes on several Iranian nuclear facilities.
With a vote of 344-79, members on both sides of the aisle shot down Rep. Al Green's (D-Texas) resolution to impeach the president after the Democrat filed articles accusing Trump of acting to take out Iran's nuclear capabilities without congressional approval.

The impeachment resolution stated: "In his conduct of the office of President of the United States, Donald J. Trump, in violation of his constitutional oath, faithfully to execute the office of President of the United States and, to the best of his ability, preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States, and in violation of his constitutional duty to take care that the laws be faithfully executed, abused the powers of the presidency when he disregarded the doctrine of separation of powers by usurping Congress's power to declare war and ordered the United States military to bomb another country without the constitutionally mandated congressional authorization or notice to Congress — cognizant of the fact that should another country's military bomb a facility within the United States of America, it would be a de facto declaration of war against the United States of America."

As our sister site Townhall reported, the failure of Green's resolution is not only embarrassing, but it proves there's little appetite for impeachment overall.
On the House side, Speaker Emerita Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) and House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) certainly have criticized Trump for actions over the weekend. This has in particular, come back to haunt Pelosi as she fawned over then-President Barack Obama's plans for regime change in Libya in 2011.
Yet both of these top House Democrats appear to be hesitant to go for Impeachment. That even Pelosi acknowledges "Iran cannot have a nuclear weapon," which Trump has been clear and consistent about for years, reflects how Americans overall, even and including Democrats, are concerned about Iran.

It was obviously all Democrats who voted to impeach the president, with the usual wacky leftists who attack Trump at every turn voting to do so. The list included Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), who has been going back and forth in a battle on social media with the president after she announced that the weekend's attack to take out Iran's nuclear capabilities was "absolutely grounds for impeachment."
"The President's disastrous decision to bomb Iran without authorization is a grave violation of the Constitution and Congressional War Powers," AOC wrote following the successful attack. "He has impulsively risked launching a war that may ensnare us for generations. It is absolutely and clearly grounds for Impeachment."
President Trump hit back at AOC and dared her to make his day by impeaching him, RedState reported.

Trump, who had already dropped an F-bomb a couple of hours earlier on Israel and Iran, continued to drop rhetorical bombs on his political opposition.
The first two words of his post on Truth Social indicated readers should buckle up; they were in for a wild ride.
"Stupid AOC," he began.
"Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, one of the 'dumbest' people in Congress, is now calling for my Impeachment, despite the fact that the Crooked and Corrupt Democrats have already done that twice before," Trump fumed. "The Democrats aren't used to WINNING, and she can't stand the concept of our Country being successful again."
