Not surprisingly, in the immediate aftermath of news of the successful U.S. airstrikes on Iran's nuclear facilities, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) was among the first in her party to not praise the Trump administration for its actions against the Middle East's leading state sponsor of terror, but to call for President Donald Trump's impeachment.
"The President’s disastrous decision to bomb Iran without authorization is a grave violation of the Constitution and Congressional War Powers," the Squad leader tweeted Saturday night, as RedState previously reported. "It is absolutely and clearly grounds for impeachment."
When asked about the calls from Ocasio-Cortez and other Democrats, the POTUS posted on Truth Social Tuesday that "Alexandria should go back home to Queens, where I was also brought up, and straighten out her filthy, disgusting, crime ridden streets, in the District she 'represents,' and which she never goes to anymore." He then dared Democrats to try and impeach him again.

George Washington University law school professor Jonathan Turley, who knows a thing or two more than AOC about the Constitution and presidential war powers, weighed in Monday night on her claim, quipping to Fox News host Laura Ingraham that the woke Congresswoman had dressed up for impeachment only to see peace break out.
Additionally, Turley remarked that if Trump could be impeached for this, then so could Democrat presidents like Barack Obama and Bill Clinton for similar actions they took during their respective presidencies, which they didn't seek Congressional approval over, and for which no Democrat demanded their impeachment.
He also observed that there have only been 11 declarations of war in our nation's history, and none in 80 years despite the United States' military involvement in numerous foreign conflicts, including Korea and Vietnam:

Turley made similar points in a piece he published at his website:
You get all dressed up for an impeachment and then peace suddenly breaks out.
If it is any solace, there was never a plausible impeachment in the making. If so, you could have impeached presidents going back to Thomas Jefferson. Barack Obama dropped over 26,000 bombs in 2016 alone from Syria to Libya to Somalia to Pakistan to Afghanistan to Iraq. Democrats did not rise up and demand impeachment after Obama was hitting targets around the world.

I'm inclined to believe that another impeachment attempt would make Democrats even more unpopular with voters ahead of the 2026 midterms, considering everything they did to him in his first term with the impeachment theatrics, and then tried to do during the four years he was out of office with all the lawfare. So by all means, Democrats, please do go for it.
