Democrats are going to be downright livid when they learn that President Donald Trump's approval numbers are higher than both former President Barack Obama's and former President George W. Bush's in their second terms at this same time, according to a new poll.
On Wednesday, RealClearPolitics' Tom Bevan posted on X that "As of two days ago, Trump's approval rating in the RCP Avg (47.5%) is higher than Obama's and Bush's at this point in their second terms."

The outlet noted that at this same time in Obama's presidency, his job approval sat at 47.1, and Bush's was at 45.9. Bevan's post included a chart that showed a visual of how Trump was ahead of both past presidents.
If Democrats were upset about the recent polls RedState has reported on showing Americans' support for things like President Trump's immigration policies, learning they approve of his job performance is definitely going to make them lose their appetite.
In May, CNN's Harry Enten showed Democrats the reality of Trump's popularity when the outlet asked people who would be doing a better job as president, Trump or Kamala Harris, RedState reported. Spoiler, it was Trump.
🚨CNN just dumped cold water on Kamala Harris after her "big speech" last night:

"Who would be doing a better job as president?"
"Guess who comes out on top?"
"Trump CONTINUES to score a higher percentage of the vote than Kamala Harris!" pic.twitter.com/iFTBYhcmjB
Enten said their data showed that:
"Guess who comes out on top?" Enten crowed. Trump was at 45 percent, two points ahead of Harris. This looks a lot like the election, Enten said.
"Trump continues to score a higher percentage of the vote than Kamala Harris!" Enten explained. He said they've continued to see it in "poll after poll."
Enten went even further, comparing Trump to Congressional Democrats, showing that again, Trump comes out ahead, 40 to 32 percent, when people were asked who they trust more on the main problems.
But wait, there was more good news!
Nick Arama reported that:
Then there was the final brutal number for the Democrats. Which party has the better plan on immigration and the economy, the two major issues animating voters?
The GOP is crushing the Democrats, Enten observed. On immigration, the GOP has a 19-point lead. You rarely see leads like this in politics these days, Enten explained. Even with the economy, where people have had concerns about tariffs, that's still nine points higher for the GOP. That tells you everything right there.
"These numbers should be a major wake-up call for Democrats," Enten warned.
Another poll in May found that more Americans feel like the country is on the right track, versus those who think it's on the wrong track. RedState's Arama wrote that:
Rasmussen's Mark Mitchell commented on what they found in their polling: "In 20 years, the % of people who say the US is headed in the Right Direction has never been higher than today."
Forty-nine percent thought we were going in the "Right Direction." Forty-six percent thought we were on the "Wrong Track." That's a three-point net positive. The previous record was 48 percent, with a net plus one point positive.
Now compare that to March, when the numbers were already high in the NBC and Marist polls for "right track"—44 and 42 percent, respectively. These numbers are even higher now in the Rasmussen poll.
