It was thirty years ago today
James Hansen  taught the band to play
They’ve been torturing the truth in and out of style
Hoping you will buy their act for awhile
So may I introduce to you
The act you’ve known for all these years?
James Hansen’s  warming planet band
—With apologies to the Beatles

30 years ago this year the U.N that incredible agglomeration of crooks, thieves and general parasites decided that there was money to be had by conning people into thinking the planet needed saving. A needed upgrade to their previous scam of telling people that they had to pay them to get the sun back during eclipses, and predicting the annual floods of rivers. The marks were just no longer being taken in by those scams. So along came Jimmy Boy Hansen and a faked up graph showing historical temperatures called the hockey stick.  Before you could yell “Hey mark get my friend Michael Finn a drink here” they were on his “Science” and proclaiming Doom. Well Doom unless you pay us a lot to stop it and do a lot of stupid things we will laugh at while watching.

UNITED NATIONS (AP) _ A senior U.N. environmental official says entire nations could be wiped off the face of the Earth by rising sea levels if the global warming trend is not reversed by the year 2000.

Coastal flooding and crop failures would create an exodus of ″eco- refugees,′ ′ threatening political chaos, said Noel Brown, director of the New York office of the U.N. Environment Program, or UNEP.

He said governments have a 10-year window of opportunity to solve the greenhouse effect before it goes beyond human control.

As the warming melts polar icecaps, ocean levels will rise by up to three feet, enough to cover the Maldives and other flat island nations, Brown told The Associated Press in an interview on Wednesday

Coastal regions will be inundated; one-sixth of Bangladesh could be flooded, displacing a fourth of its 90 million people. A fifth of Egypt’s arable land in the Nile Delta would be flooded, cutting off its food supply, according to a joint UNEP and U.S. Environmental Protection Agency study.

UNEP estimates it would cost the United States at least $100 billion to protect its east coast alone.

Shifting climate patterns would bring back 1930s Dust Bowl conditions to Canadian and U.S. wheatlands, while the Soviet Union could reap bumper crops if it adapts its agriculture in time, according to a study by UNEP and the International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis.

Rain of frogs, dogs and cats living together and other biblical tragedies not withstanding. Well seeing as we are living in the future and everything any country has done to curb their CO2 emissions, has been undone and more by developing countries lets ask just how well did these predictions turn out.

“Coastal flooding and crop failures would create an exodus of ″eco- refugees”

Nope. Matter of fact most of the famine problems we had back in the 90s while human caused had nothing to do with the environment, just really crappy governments stealing food and preventing farmers from growing it.

The U.N. Doubled down on this but more on that later.

“As the warming melts polar icecaps, ocean levels will rise by up to three feet, enough to cover the Maldives and other flat island nations,”

The Falklands/Maldives are still above water and the seas aren’t 4 feet higher either.

The U.S. coastline isn’t a death trap, matter of fact beachfront property is more expensive than it ever has been, our farms are doing great and there is no dustbowl.

Go figure You would think stuff like this would make people that go around saying they are clever enough to tell the rest of us what to do, to slink away in the middle of night and at least back away. WRONG !!!

These people are apex con men, they have repeatedly doubled down and made even more ridiculous predictions.

Rising sea levels, desertification and shrinking freshwater supplies will create up to 50 million environmental refugees by the end of the decade, experts warn today. Janos Bogardi, director of the Institute for Environment and Human Security at the United Nations University in Bonn, said creeping environmental deterioration already displaced up to 10 million people a year, and the situation would get worse.

I remember all that, it was a big disaster before Obama took office. No wait that was the McCain campaign, Climate refugees and disappearing countries was the disaster that yet again didn’t happen.

Well after screwups like that we can all rest easily this crap has gone away and we can concentrate on real problems like making sure we have enough energy to maintain economic growth, doing something about bringing the growth rate of the deficit to manageable levels, maybe do something about promoting primary industries in this country ?

Nope, Nope, NOPE some people just have no shame.

President ‘has four years to save Earth

Barack Obama has only four years to save the world. That is the stark assessment of Nasa scientist and leading climate expert Jim Hansen who last week warned only urgent action by the new president could halt the devastating climate change that now threatens Earth. Crucially, that action will have to be taken within Obama’s first administration, he added.

—- The Guardian 2009

Gee I am such a churl I never sent former president Obama a thank you note for saving the world back in 2009,

Needless to say it’s 2019 and we still aren’t dead, living on desert or water world. The economies have actually managed to improve despite the obstacles thrown in their way but a few people have gotten obscenely rich, by the government taking money from the people and putting it towards saving a planet that never needed it.

It’s PI Day

It’s that time of year again. 3.14.19 PI Day, a day you can enjoy irrational and complain about it going on forever.
