Conservative College Students Suing Boulder To Keep Gun Rights
The millennials can be a pretty depressing lot but there are bright spots and there is hope that they may grow out of it. After all if even college students at boulder, stand up and take action to protect their rights, there has to be a chance that the idea will spread.
Some pro-Second Amendment college students have joined efforts to fight a new ban on assault weapons in Boulder, Colo.
It’s a city known as a haven for left-wing causes, but right-of-center students who call the region home say the ban is unconstitutional and want it reversed, including a 20-year-old CU Boulder student.
A lead plaintiff to overturn the law, which takes effect in January, is 20-year-old Tyler Faye, a member of the CU Boulder Shooting Sports club. He joined the lawsuit because the city’s new ordinance raises the age for legal firearm ownership from 18 to 21, the Daily Camerareports.
“Boulder is clearly discriminating against students who live within city limits and is preventing us from exercising our constitutionally protected rights,” Faye told The College Fix by email.
“By focusing on age, instead of on criminals, Boulder is preventing law-abiding college students, like myself, from defending themselves and their homes,” he said. “It was important to me to stand up for all of the young adults in Boulder and represent to the country just how wrong this is.”
The left will of course keep this up until doomsday, no matter how strong the evidence and logic is on the side of gun rights. The fact that London has managed to exceed NYC’s murder rate despite the fact guns are banned there even for police doesn’t register, and why should it ? This isn’t a public safety issue for them, but a worry that their endless power grabs will one day go to far.
Antifa May Get The Same Treatment The Klan Got.

It turns out our reps in DC are waking up to this and may well start to deploy the same tools that made the Klan an anathema in American life, against Antifa. HR 6054, “The Unmasking Antifa Act” is written to deny them of anonymity. It has the left freaking out, I guess it’s hard to be a tough commie when your mom recognizes you and drags you out of the protest by your ear.
Introduced to the House Judiciary Committee by Rep. Dan Donovan (R-NY) and co-sponsored by Peter King (R-NY), Ted Budd (R-NC) and Paul Gosar (R-AZ). H.R. 6054, the “Unmasking Antifa Act of 2018” states:
Whoever, whether or not acting under color of law, while in disguise, including while wearing a mask, injures, oppresses, threatens, or intimidates any person in any State, Territory, Commonwealth, Possession, or District in the free exercise or enjoyment of any right or privilege secured to him by the Constitution or laws of the United States, or because of his having so exercised the same, shall be fined under this title, imprisoned not more than 15 years, or both.
The bill also includes 2 years of jail time for “Destroying buildings or property” while wearing a mask or disguise.
One of the more notable incidents of Antifa violence was an assault on a Trump supporter by Bay Area professor and anarchist, Eric Clanton, who was “unmasked” by users of popular internet forums and arrested and charged with four counts of assault with a deadly weapon. Clanton remains free on bail, while his trial has been postponed several times.
It’s long overdue that the right to protest was restored to the right to peaceful protest.
