At this point, you have to wonder why Elizabeth Warren is still in the race. She is essentially in a polling freefall and has no path to the nomination when Bernie Sanders – who is the exact same type of socialist she is, but more energetic and charismatic – is also in the race.

She can’t connect with voters and comes across as passionate, but forced. The voters she has will leave her to go to Bernie in a heartbeat.

The latest sign that she’s done? Her own home state of Massachusetts.

There are only a few days separating us from Super Tuesday, and her own home state has fallen to Sanders. There are currently no states that appear to show her in a winnable position.

It is possible she is hoping to be a Vice Presidential pick, but if Sanders is the likely nominee, he’s clearly going to remember her (foolish) personal attacks against him and pass on her. Maybe Biden would pick her. Maybe. None of the others would.

Warren has a likability problem. It’s not a matter of gender, either. It’s simply that she is more college lecturer than she is a person voters can connect to. She can’t connect with the youth in her own state, because while she is as socialist as Sanders, she has also attacked him and called herself a capitalist. Because she doesn’t know how to connect with voters, she can’t see that she’s alienating pretty much everyone.

There’s no route to the White House for her, and she has to know it by now. If she doesn’t, she is living in a fantasy world, and there may no saving her from it.
