Is This ANOTHER Baker Who Refused to Make a Cake Based on Personal Beliefs?

An Albertson’s in Bossier Parish, Louisiana, found itself the center of a viral Facebook post after a teenage girl complained about a cake she received from their store. The reason the store wouldn’t make the cake to her specifications?

Doesn’t Albertson’s know that it is the Year of Our Lord 2016 and that you can’t refuse to bake a cake a certain way because of your personal beliefs? The store should be boycotted and shuttered because of this egregious error, and I for one hope that anyone caught buying a cake from there is publicly shamed.

The spokesperson for Albertson’s released this statement, trying to convince us that it was all an error, but we know better.

“We apologize to our customer in Bossier City for the situation regarding the cake that was requested. Our Bakery staff member misunderstood the training provided regarding copyrighted phrases, and incorrectly informed the customer we could not fulfill her request. We would be happy to provide the cake as the customer requested.”

I would love to say that this is entirely satire and that there’s no way anyone would really think that this is some big conspiracy to destroy the campaign of Donald Trump. However, you and I both know that this is the Internet, and there are people probably plotting to picket the damn store already.
