The anathema in celebrity circles and the fanbots who worship them is any tolerance of Trump. TDS is their religion. Sure, there are celebrities who support Trump and make no bones about doing so, but they are generally reserved about it.  

My wife and I went to a Jason Aldean concert in Bend, Oregon, last week. Aldean started to tell a story about going to Portland years ago and he was stopped by groans and boos from the crowd. It wasn’t a mean-spirited retort  - it was more, “This ain't Portland, Jason” - more playful than argumentative. His response:  

“Ohhhh, I'm gonna abort that conversation!” he said, then went back to singing. He later mentioned his hit single “Don’t Try That in a Small Town” and the negative backlash he got for “supporting police and first responders” and then added that everyone needs to vote or “shut up” if they don’t like the results. He wasn't calling Harris a commie (pro tip - she kinda is), but his meaning was clear. He’s a Trump supporter. That was it. Aldean didn’t spend time blasting Harris or her supporters. On the other side are American Idiots like Green Day. They performed on New Year's Eve and changed lyrics to suit their abundant TDS. 

Instead of singing the usual lyric, "I'm not a part of a redneck agenda," [Billie Joe] Armstrong belted "I'm not a part of the MAGA agenda," during the Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve special on ABC. 

Now, the unimaginable has happened. To the horror of her fanbase and those intolerants who wished that Thomas Crooks had aimed three inches to the right, Taylor Swift had...hugged a Trump supporter. The universal shock and awe was palpable from her fanbots. They were horrified that Taylor Swift...hugged Brittany Mahomes, wife of Kansas City Chiefs star quarterback Patrick Mahomes. 

“Like totally, like I just cannot. I mean, like, Taylor, like, what?” 

Ok, that is not a real quote – just me mocking brainless Taylor Swift fans, but here is what The Independent found:  

Following the event, pictures of Swift affectionately hugging Mahomes began circulating on social media, leading to an outcry from Swifties condemning the singer for cozying up to Mahomes, a supposed Trump supporter. 

“Taylor girl, that’s not very Miss Americana of you like how can you stand to be around someone like that,” one person tweeted, referring to the pop star’s 2020 Miss Americana documentary. 

The documentary’s title originated from the pop star’s 2019 track “Miss Americana & the Heartbreak Prince,” a song protesting America’s political climate under Trump’s first presidency. 

“I don’t expect a billionaire to lead the revolution or anything I’m just confused as to why one would make a movie about standing up for what’s right at any cost only to literally never stand for anything again,” a second person commented. 

“Us level-headed Swifties are just as confused as you,” a third agreed. 

It’s disheartening when someone advocates for justice in film but fails to act consistently,” another added.

All of this because Taylor Swift hugged her friend at the US Open? Brittany Mahomes and Taylor Swift are friends. Brittany’s husband is Patrick Mahomes, and he’s best buds with Travis Kelce. But for Swifties, Taylor Swift should treat her conservative friends like they have leprosy.   

Is there reasoning with them? I don't think so. Their brains have been washed of all sense and sensibility, and that guy in the tweet seems to have bigger problems. Tolerance of Trump is anathema. Swifties have a policy to "look at" now, even though Kamala Harris copied and pasted her "policy positions" from Biden's website. But ask any of them to identify specific Kamala policies they support and you’d get: 

“Like abortion, like...obviously, like...ok?”

But, if you asked "besides abortion,” you’d likely get a long blank stare followed by:  

“Like... what?”
