A few days ago, I wrote about a UCSF assistant professor of sociology who had been thrown into a depressive funk. She wrote an Op/Ed for the LA Times, decrying her tormentor. Her grocery store, her “happy place,” was locking up stealable items. She blames the store for her depression, not the criminals who steal.
Across the UCSF campus is its medical school. It is still called a medical school, although it is getting harder and harder to justify that distinction. UCSF employs Diane Ehrensaft. Ehrensaft is employed by the UCSF School of Medicine as the “developmental and clinical psychologist specializing in pediatric gender-affirmative care for transgender and gender-expansive patients."
She is also the “director of mental health and the chief psychologist at the UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital gender development center.”
Ehrensaft is also a high priestess in the cult of transgenderism.
Over the past several years, the transgender cult has rapidly moved from a fringe and pitied subgroup to a militant base with adherents willing to commit violence and murder. Cult members have created more pseudo-genders and false prophets than Ben & Jerry’s has leftist ice cream flavors.
It is an evolving catechism with new “genders.” It’s the flavor of the month, day or hour. We have reached peak absurdity when employed members of the medical establishment are committed to destroying normality and, with it, childhood for thousands of children.
At the Albert Einstein School of Medicine, a professor claims that infants, before they can verbalize, can “tell” that they are a different gender. Ehrensaft claims that children can be creatures of mythology. Not quite as disturbing is the reporting of her scientifically absurd conclusion:
Ehrensaft made what some may consider fringe claims about gender ideology, including that kids can identify as "gender hybrids" which include a mythology-inspired creature called a "gender Minotaur," and that kids can change their genders by season and can have different identities depending on their location.
Note the observation from Fox’s reporter that “some” consider educators claiming that there are multiple genders as a fringe. Even "conservative media" are bending a knee to the cult.
During a 2018 discussion at a San Francisco library, Ehrensaft said:
"I totally agree we are in the midst of a gender revolution and the children are leading it. And it's a wonderful thing to see. And it's also humbling to know [children] know more than we do about this topic of being gender expansive," "Now, we've got genders moving boulders, and it makes a lot of people nervous."
Almost lost in her eye-widening rhetoric is that she is mythologizing gender-confused or cult-infused children with Greek myths. What isn’t lost on me is that Ehrensaft is equating tortured creatures with confused children.
The Minotaur is a mythical creature—a monster with the head and tail of a bull who wandered a maze and consumed human flesh. The Minotaur is eventually killed by a hero, Theseus. And the reference to rolling boulders is another mythical character – Sisyphus, who was doomed to the underworld, rolling a boulder up a hill for eternity only to see his efforts fail as the boulder rolls back. Sisyphus's efforts were always futile.
It might be lost on Ehrensaft that she sees children as tragic mythical monsters, or it might be intentional. In any event, it is terrifying that people like Ehrensaft are sitting across from children, convincing them that they are doomed mythical monsters and treating that as normal. Ehrensaft added:
"I started meeting a whole bunch of other gender hybrids. And so we have the gender Prius, we have a gender Minotaur," she said. "And most of the kids who are gender minotaurs love mermaids. So make sure you have a lot of mermaid books. If you really you think about it, it works."
Ehresaft related a story about a boy who sat in a chair in her office and twirled around, then announced that he was a “Prius.” Prius is Latin for “prior” or previous. The child told Ehresaft that he was a boy in the front and a girl in the back. There is absolutely no chance that the poor child came up with that on his own. Adults are always responsible for bringing children into cults. The cult of transgenderism is no different.
We are in terrifying territory where this is normalized and sanctioned.
