Democrats pulled out their favorite weapon – lies, and the former president. Barack Obama has been crisscrossing the country working the crowds. Depending on the location Obama might be a down-home country guy. Just a good old fella, talkin’ to the people with his sleeves rolled up, puttin’ the work for workin’ folks. Or he runs the Deep South accent when he morphs into his most irritating and condescending fake accent – the Southern Baptist Preacher. He’ll drawl on, leaving off every “g”. he’ll pause for emphasis and cast his head back to make the point – y’all.

There’s a term for it. It’s called Code-Switching. Politicians use it to appeal to the group they are speaking to. I think it’s absurd and the worst sort of pandering.

Obama grew up with a white mother and white grandparents. He went to mostly white-dominant secondary schools and then went to the Ivy League. Hillary Clinton is also a product of privilege and the Ivy League. Her relationship with the south started when she married a southerner. Obama has used the fake southern preacher accent to some success but Hillary’s version is laughable. Give Obama some credit his generalized southern drawl is interesting but irritating. When Clinton did it, it sounded like the reverse of Eliza Doolittle.

This election season Obama has been too busy to notice where he is and has deployed his southern accent in Detroit and Arizona, not just Georgia.

15 years ago Hillary Clinton busted out her fake southern drawl and told Americans to vote blue. she said that she “don’t feel no ways tired The first time I heard that speech I wanted to throw up. It was phonier than Biden’s stories of football glory.

Yeah well, I’m tired of listening to Barack Obama pretending that he’s a southern man. I’m tired of Obama lying about this election and telling America that “democracy is on the ballot” if Republicans are elected. I’m tired of his “end of the Republic’ nonsense. He ain’t no southerner and democracy isn’t in peril.

Vote accordingly.
