Shepard Smith apparently thought covering a celestial event that rarely takes place over the United States was below his pay grade or something. He basically spent the day mocking people’s interest in the solar eclipse, prancing around the stage in mock excitement. Check out the FreeBeacon’s supercut of Shep’s circus clown act.

Shep’s obvious disdain for the common folks’ interest in the eclipse got noticed on social media.

Other walking egos like Neil Degrasse Tyson were all excited by the eclipse so Shepard Smith appears to be living proof of Newton’s lesser known law of motion which states that for every douchebag there is an equal and opposite douchebag.
