'On a Moral Vanity Trip Like I've Never Seen': Tucker Carlson Slams CEO Refusing Service to Trump Voters

On Tucker Carlson Tonight, Tucker interviewed Matthew Blanchfield, the CEO of the New Mexico company 1st In SEO, who this week announced that his company will not provide service to anyone who voted for Donald Trump. Refusing service to people you disagree with is suddenly not bigotry anymore.

Blanchfield seems like the type of person you would not want to invite to a party. Even the normally upbeat Carlson seemed unsure of how to be pleasant with this humorless scold.

You can see the video over at Mediaite.

Carlson pressed him tonight on why he would say something like that. Blanchfield argued this is about the “moral principle” at hand and said he is not tolerant of bigotry or fascism

He went on to say he strongly believes Trump is a fascist and while he would allow a Trump supporter into his home, a lot of what Trump does alarms him.

Carlson told him that comments like these diminish “actual historical crimes,” but Blanchfield told Carlson that he should read up on how Hitler and Putin rose to power.

After Blanchfield launched into a speech about how patriotic his actions are, Carlson told him, “You are on a moral vanity trip like I have never seen.” Blanchfield was quick to use the number of death threats he has allegedly received as a sign of his sacrifice but then bristled at Tucker’s suggestion that he was playing the victim.

KOB in Albuquerque covered Blanchfield’s refusal that he posted to a company blog. The company’s website at the time of this writing was unavailable.

There has been so much divisiveness in the two weeks since the presidential election, but an Albuquerque business is going a step further by refusing to have any dealings with Donald Trump supporters.

Matthew Blanchfield runs 1st in SEO, an Albuquerque-based internet marketing company. He’s making his case pretty clear in a blog post, writing “if you are a Republican, voted for Donald Trump or support Donald Trump, in any manner, you are not welcome at 1st in SEO and we ask you to leave our firm.”

How Blanchfield intends to police his clients political activity is not clear. Only one has left so far.

Even as someone who didn’t support Trump I wouldn’t want to  do business with this guy.
