At Monday’s White House Coronavirus Task Force Briefing, President Trump invited “CEO’s of the great American companies that are fulfilling their patriotic duties by producing or donating medical equipment to meet our most urgent needs” to make comments.
Companies represented included Honeywell, Jockey International, Proctor & Gamble, United Technologies Corporation, and My Pillow. Unless you watched the press conference online or on Fox News you might not know that because, as Sister Toldjah reported, CNN cut their coverage the minute the first CEO, My Pillow’s Mike Lindell, started speaking.
Numerous MSM, #resistance, and #NeverTrump blue checks could not handle the fact that a Trump supporter could possibly be able to help the country in the current crisis. It’s not a surprise that one Expert™ was particularly vitriolic and unhinged in his comments. Tom Nichols’ first comment on Lindell’s appearance in the Rose Garden was mocking but, in the universe of Nichols’ derangement, not too bad:
Well, imagine my relief that the My Pillow guy is on the job

After Lindell shared what his company committed to do to help provide life-saving medical equipment to the professionals on our front lines (50,000 masks a day), he shared his personal thoughts on Trump and encouraged people to “use this time at home to get back in the Word, read our Bibles.” That really set Nichols off.
When you use your charitable activity to make a political endorsement – and then to advise your fellow citizens to get God back in the schools – it's not just charity, it's an in-kind contribution to your candidate and your cause.

Critics rightly pointed out that Nichols hasn’t done a damn thing except tweet to help the country at this time. (In his defense, there’s really not anything he can offer.)
Remember, people, during a national emergency that threatens the lives of your family, the most important thing is to be grateful for the charitable donations of a guy who helped Trump get elected, as he tells you to read your Bible and put God back in the schools. https://t.co/bbg89jFdtY

When Tom went from being mocking to saying that “if it weren’t for people like Lindell we wouldn’t be *in* this situation,” meaning the Coronavirus pandemic, his complete detachment from reality became apparent.
I'm mocking the entire circus of a WH press conference during a national emergency where the President of the United Freakin' States calls up the My Pillow guy to do a Jesus Loves Trump campaign ad.
And if it weren't for people like Lindell, we wouldn't be *in* this situation. https://t.co/uViptTlunj— Tom Nichols (@RadioFreeTom) March 30, 2020
What exactly does that mean? Because Trump is in office the world is facing a pandemic? Nichols really ought to brush up on his infectious disease and biology education, and put down the TDS bong.
