Roy Moore Names Who's Behind "Malicious" Allegations

Senate candidate Roy Moore spoke at Magnolia Springs Baptist Church in Theodore, Alabama Wednesday night, telling parishioners that “these are the times that try men’s souls” and calling out those he feels are responsible for the allegations against him.

And who are they?

“They’re the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender. They’re socialists who want to change our way of life, putting man above God, and make government our God.”

That whole “change our way of life” line sounds awfully familiar.

Moore also asked the crowd to look at a video he’d posted on his Facebook page about “a woman ‘at the heart of this conspiracy’ & see how the report has ‘shown how drugs are at the base of’ the allegations.”

The senate candidate then compared himself to President Trump, a comparison Trump’s people likely don’t welcome.

Before Moore spoke, the music portion of the service was led by Rev. Bill Atkinson, who was convicted of obstructing an investigation into child sex abuse at a Honduran orphanage run by one of Atkinson’s sons. According to multiple articles about the Atkinson investigation, after multiple children at the orphanage reported strange “medical exams” performed by Atkinson’s son, another son set up a video camera and caught the molestation on tape. The tape was then provided to Mobile authorities, who attempted to investigate whether any child sex crimes had occurred in Alabama.

What a crowd to hear from at a Wednesday night church service.
