Yeah, we've gone to the dogs again this Feel-Good Friday, but after reporting on the ignorant Islamic radicals and their attacks on man's and woman's best friend, and the horrors done to dogs on Los Angeles' Skid Row, this story is a palate cleanser.
A woman has been charged with animal abandonment after Las Vegas Metro Police (LVMPD) say she left her 2-year-old golden doodle at a JetBlue ticket counter inside Harry Reid International Airport.
Surveillance video of the Feb. 2, 2026, incident released by police shows the moment the suspect, now identified as Germiran Bryson, is seen walking up to a JetBlue ticket counter attendant, and within less than a minute and a half, she is seen walking away without the dog she had arrived with.
We love to travel with our dogs — this is why we drive. It's easier on all of us and far less costly. But this demented diva, whom I refuse to give more oxygen by using her name, decided that her destination was more important than her dog. Golden Doodles and their mixes are hella expensive, so this not only reflects this person's disregard for the life and well-being of her dog, but her disregard for money.

“He wasn’t just left there was a scene where he was tied to a pole and then to a luggage cart and then to the gate,” said Retriever Rescue of Las Vegas founder Danielle Roth, who is now helping with the fostering of the dog, now nicknamed ‘Jet Blue’.
Moments later, after Bryson left, LVMPD was contacted as well as Animal Protection Services, and shortly after, Danielle Roth says Retriever Rescue of Las Vegas stepped in.
Who does this? The sensory overload alone must have been horrible for this poor puppy. Kudos to the Las Vegas Metro Police Department and the JetBlue employees for stepping in and stepping up to ensure the safety of this sweet boy.
It's really terrible that people cannot take responsibility for the life they bring into the world — this includes animal life. Shelters and rescues across the country are becoming overwhelmed because there has been an increase in litters of puppies being dumped, due to people breeding their dogs, and then being incapable or unwilling to care for these puppies or ensure that they end up in good homes. Just throwing them off underpasses and in dumpsters is wrong and pure evil.
The Las Vegas shelter that held JetBlue placed a 10-day hold on him, because they are required by law to make good faith efforts to reunite the pet with its owner — even though, through her actions, this owner already showed her hindquarters and disregard for this pet. Thank God, after the hold was done, little JetBlue was delivered to Retriever Rescue of Las Vegas to be placed with a foster and await adoption.

After taking him to the vet and getting JetBlue neutered and up to date on his health, Roth says the rescue is searching for JetBlue’s forever home, but she stresses the importance of ensuring the golden doodle’s new home will be the perfect match.
“It is a huge responsibility, and I think some people don’t realize that you’re basically bringing a child into your house. He's already been abandoned once so clearly, we are going to take extra steps to make sure that he does ever experience that again," Roth added.
God bless rescues that understand this. Dogs suffer as much (and sometimes more) trauma as humans when it comes to abandonment, loss, and injury. Last year, we adopted a new Rat Terrier fur baby named Minnie Mouse. She came out of a hoarding situation, and had two unsupervised litters in her seven-years of life. All the puppies in the first litter died because of the hoarder's neglect. Minnie birthed the second litter just before she was rescued, so she was separated from them. Poor Minnie had to be relieved of her milk and then medically cleared before she could be spayed and made ready to adopt. At the meet-and-greet, our family, including our two dogs, immediately fell in love with her. After she was officially adopted, Minnie Mouse lay above my head on the couch and just slept for at least two days. That was part of her decompression and also her relief that she was finally home.

The Retriever Rescue of Las Vegas will hold an adoption event this weekend for all its pets, from 10 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Pacific. All of our dogs have been rescues, and they always will be. Every dog deserves a safe FURever home where they are loved, cared for, and can heal from their trauma.
All the best to Retriever Rescue of Las Vegas in finding the ideal home for little JetBlue so that he can finally decompress, be fully loved, and be allowed to grow and thrive.
