Update: Maduro Lands in New York to Face Justice, Now Heading to NYC

Updated [6: 09 PM ET]: Maduro and his wife, escorted by federal law enforcement officials, have been whisked away via helicopter to NYC, acording to an updated report:

Deposed dictator and puppet Venezuelan president Nicolás Maduro and his wife Cilia Flores have landed outside of New York City at Stewart Airport in order to be arraigned on terrorism and other charges. As RedState reported earlier, Maduro and his wife were captured in an early Saturday morning, U.S. joint military and law enforcement strike. They were apprehended, taken into custody, and flown to the United States on a U.S. Department of Justice 757 airplane.

Maduro and His Wife Have Been Indicted in SDNY, Bondi Says: Here Are the Charges


As RedState further reported, Attorney General Pam Bondi announced indictments in the Southern District of New York for Maduro and Flores on charges of Narco-Terrorism Conspiracy, Cocaine Importation Conspiracy, Possession of Machineguns and Destructive Devices, and Conspiracy to Possess Machineguns and Destructive Devices against the United States.

Maduro and Flores are scheduled to be arraigned on Monday. RedState will continue to update information as it arises on this developing story.
