In reporting about Caitlyn Jenner’s first campaign ad after Jenner announced her candidacy for California Governor, my colleague Sister Toldjah referenced Jenner’s remarks about trans athletes competing against biological girls:
Jenner, who in 1976 won the Olympic gold medal in the men’s decathlon event, told the reporter the issue was a “question of fairness” and that biological boys should not be allowed to play in girls’ sports.
“It’s a question of fairness,” Jenner stated. “I oppose biological boys who are trans competing in girls’ sports in school. It just isn’t fair, and we have to protect girls’ sports.”
Jenner’s comments on their own would have set transgender rights activists’ teeth on edge anyway considering the reality show star came out as a transgender woman in 2015 and has acted as a spokesperson of sorts for the trans community ever since. But the fact that Jenner recently announced a run to replace Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) in the recall race caused the panic meters on the left to explode.
Remember that last scene from I Am Legend, where the Will Smith character is protecting the mother and her son, and he looks out to see all the rabid zombie creatures ready to tear them apart? Consider the rabid zombie creatures the Left, and Caitlyn Jenner the Robert Neville character.
Like Sister Toldjah does with the legacy media, columnist Jim Treacher (who writes for our sister site PJ Media), has made an art form of pointing out the Left’s pretzel logic.
Boy oh girl, this one is gonna confuse pretty much everybody. Remember all that glowing media coverage Jenner has received for the last half-decade? Yeah, that’s over now. All that was before Jenner was considered a threat to the Democrats. Now, the same people who’ve spent years screaming about “transphobia” will have to stop on a dime and tell you why a proud trans woman is unsuitable to run a state better than Gavin Newsom has.
Sorry, but this is not a woman.
And, also, in addition to that, I'm enjoying the howling misery of the people who've always screamed at me for saying so. They're twisting themselves into knots to slam Jenner and still tell themselves they're righteous, and I LOVE IT. pic.twitter.com/86sgNkK1Df

And hoo boy, are they getting twisted. The same people who scream you down about how people can be/do anything they want, trans rights, and trans voices, are now storming the gates to denounce this formerly trailblazing trans celebrity who has now turned into their political foe. All because she has the audacity to run for California Governor… as a Republican.
Bring out the fainting couches and the smelling salts.
Make no mistake: we can’t wait to elect a #trans governor of California.
But @Caitlyn_Jenner spent years telling the #LGBTQ+ community to trust Donald Trump. We saw how that turned out. Now she wants us to trust her?

Gadfly George Takei, who six years prior lauded Caitlyn Jenner’s courage, now thinks she is “a menace”.

And writer and lesbian (in case the Pride flag didn’t give it away) Charlotte Clymer has dedicated her social media to denouncing Caitlyn Jenner and her candidacy. She has even taken to legacy media, like Joy Reid’s MSNBC alternate reality show, to do this.
Caitlyn Jenner is anti-trans. She doesn’t understand the science, and she is pandering to the ignorance of anti-trans people. I have absolutely no problem saying Caitlyn Jenner supports and directly benefits from transphobia. https://t.co/wWZcUTPqj6

Hey folks, tonight I'll be chatting with @JoyAnnReid on her show around ~7:50pm ET about bills targeting trans children throughout the country, why they're wrong, and why the GOP and Caitlyn Jenner are selling this outrage to their base. Tune-in!#TheReidOut https://t.co/NU9KgpWFW7

Then there is Caitlyn Jenner’s campaign ad, which, doesn’t matter where you weigh politically, is pretty damn impressive. But Clymer is now required to pick it apart and find things wrong with it, because transphobia!
Caitlyn Jenner's campaign ad looks like parody. It unsurprisingly looks and sounds like the pitch of a narcissistic person with zero experience in policy and governing unsuccessfully attempting to imitate serious people. It is the ad equivalent of a small child in adult clothing.

Say what you will, Charlotte, Jenner’s talking points resonate with those of us fed up with Governor Hair Gel and his dictatorial rule.
Set aside the messenger for a moment…
This is, without a doubt, the perfect message. This is how Gavin Newsom goes down. This is how California saves itself.
Not sure Jenner is the right candidate, but this ad nails it.https://t.co/opIBosv34b

Time will tell. In the meantime, I think I’ll have some M&Ms with my popcorn.
