House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) visited Lou Dobbs’ Fox Business show on Wednesday, praising the gains that have been made by Republicans in the House and the Senate.

“We have expanded this party, and it’s a credit to President Trump,” McCarthy said:

“We have more women in Congress as Republicans than in the history of any time. We’re going to double the number coming up next time. More minorities. And that’s what this president’s been able to do, expand this Republican Party to reach everyone.”

Without fanfare, posturing or virtue signaling, the GOP is showing itself to be more diverse and inclusive than the other side. Here is the list of new additions to the Republican House that have increased our minority, other-abled, and female representation:

  • Don Bacon (NE-2)
  • Byron Donalds (FL-19)
  • Madison Cawthorne (NC-11)
  • Maria Elvira Salazar (FL-27)
  • Carlos Gimenez (FL-26)
  • Nancy Mace (SC-1)
  • Michelle Fischbach (MN-7)
  • Yvette Herrell (NM-2)
  • Tony Gonzales (TX-23)
  • Stephanie Bice (OK-05)
  • Lauren Boebert (CO-03)
  • Kat Cammack (FL-03)
  • Diana Harshbarger (TN-01)
  • Lisa McClain (MI-10)
  • Ann Wagner (MO-2)*

Another coup for the Senate is Cynthia Lummis, who will be the first woman to represent Wyoming.

Fourteen other Republican Congressmen held on to their seats, and several races, including 3 in California, are still tallying the votes.

Adrian Gray offers a glimmer of what’s at stake. Despite the current state of counting anything, we can stand up and cheer that both Houses of Congress will offer a balance.
