Israeli Father Recounts How Hamas Savages Killed His Son and Tried to Sell His Head for $10,000

Another story has emerged from the war between Israel and Hamas that highlights even further why the terrorist organization must be eliminated. An Israeli father has spoken out publicly about what Hamas did to his son, who was an Israeli soldier.

David Tahar, the father of Sgt. Adir Tahar, participated in an interview in which he explained that members of the terrorist group murdered his son during Hamas’ October 7 surprise attack on Israel, decapitated him, and attempted to sell his head for $10,000.

Tahar told the story in an interview:

In an interview given to Channel 14's show Now, David Tahar told the hosts about the journey he went on to bring his son's remains home for burial.
David began by describing his son's final moments in combat saying "His death was very very difficult."
"They fired a rocket at him and 3 grenades, according to the autopsy I received his whole body was filled with shrapnel."
"Unfortunately, his body was abused after his death," continuing, "The terrorists, they call them barbarians this is complimenting them, they just beheaded him and took his head back to Gaza with them."
"Over the course of two and a half months, I turned the world upside down to try and understand where the head was."
Interrupting him the host asks, "You received a body without a head?"
"I received a body without a head and I pleaded with the army to see the body, because, at a certain point, you lose faith in the army."
"They tried to explain to me that I shouldn't see it."
"But I'm the type of dad who has to know everything about his kids."
"Half an hour before the burial, the body arrived at Mount Herzel. My nephew and I were the only ones present. I opened the coffin, looked inside, and immediately understood what I was burying."

Tragically, the ordeal did not end with Sgt. Adir’s death. Tahar explained that “over the course of two and a half months,” he “turned the world upside down to try and understand where the head was.”

The Shin Bet, Israel’s Security Agency, informed Tahar that they found out about the effort to sell his son’s head through an interrogation of two Hamas terrorists who had been captured. "He tried to sell a soldier's head for $10,000. It's simply a terrifying level of barbarity,” Tahar said.

Sgt. Adir’s head was later found in a Gaza ice cream store in Palestine Square. Tahar said they found it “in a duffel bag, next to some of the terrorist’s documents and tennis balls.”

This type of brutality is par for the course with Hamas, which has carried out numerous atrocities against Israeli soldiers and civilians. It was revealed shortly after the war started that Hamas terrorists had not only kidnapped female civilians, but they had also raped them and inflicted other types of abuse.

This is one of a long list of reasons why the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) must eradicate Hamas completely. Despite ruling Gaza since 2007, the terrorist group has shown over and over again that the last thing they want is peace. Their objective is to eliminate the Jewish people in the region, which means these brutal acts will never stop as long as they are allowed to exist.
