The transgender agenda has struck again. This time, members of a sorority faced punishment for speaking out against a brazen effort to force progressive gender ideology on female students at the University of Wyoming.
In a contentious episode, two veteran members of the Kappa Kappa Gamma (KKG) sorority, Patsy Levang and Cheryl Tuck-Smith, were expelled from the sisterhood after they objected to the inclusion of a biological male named Dallin “Artemis” Langford.
Levang and Tuck-Smith had been alumni members of KKG for over five decades and were removed earlier this month for speaking out against having a transgender female in the sorority.
Two veteran members of a sorority at the University of Wyoming have been expelled after expressing disapproval towards the admission of a trans-identified male to the sisterhood. Patsy Levang and Cheryl Tuck-Smith had been alumni members of the Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority for over 50 years, but have now been removed in apparent retaliation for advocating that membership be restricted to females only.
According to a press release issued by the Independent Women’s Forum, Levang and Tuck-Smith were voted out by the sorority’s national leadership on November 9. Levang had been the past Kappa Kappa Gamma National Foundation President, while Tuck-Smith was an active contributor and organizer.
The women’s removal came after they had been vocally opposed to the admission of a trans-identified male to the KKG chapter at the University of Wyoming, and had supported a lawsuit launched by members of that sorority to have Dallin “Artemis” Langford removed.
This case has sparked debate in the community and highlighted the tension between the “woke” effort to compel everyone to pretend men can be women and vice versa and those who are gender sane.
It wasn’t just the fact that Langford is clearly a dude over six feet tall and 260 pounds pretending to be a woman that was the issue; it was also his behavior, as referenced in the lawsuit that was filed to keep him out of the sorority.
Court records reveal that the young women are alleging Langford had been voyeuristically peeping on them while they were in intimate situations, and, in at least one occasion, had a visible erection while doing so.
“One sorority member walked down the hall to take a shower, wearing only a towel … She felt an unsettling presence, turned, and saw Mr. Smith watching her silently,” the court document reads.
“Mr. Smith has, while watching members enter the sorority house, had an erection visible through his leggings,” the suit says. “Other times, he has had a pillow in his lap.”
The complaint adds that Langford is “sexually interested in women” as evidenced by his Tinder profile “through which he seeks to meet women.” It is further alleged that Langford took photographs of the women while at a sorority slumber party, where he also is said to have made inappropriate comments.
“Smith repeatedly questioned the women about what vaginas look like, breast cup size, whether women were considering breast reductions and birth control,” the complaint alleges.
The legal effort to keep Langford out of the sorority hit a major snag in August when Judge Alan Johnson dismissed the lawsuit against KKG over the right to choose its members.
Since this issue became public, various media outlets have covered the story. Some outlets portrayed Langford in a sympathetic light, treating the situation as if it were a case of bigots victimizing a member of a marginalized community.
So, essentially, a biological man can pretend he is a woman, and he will be allowed to join KKG even if he engages in behavior that is clearly inappropriate. I wish I could say this was an isolated incident, but it isn’t. There are plenty of similar stories in which males pretend to be females to gain access to women in locker rooms and other private and sensitive locations.
In this case, the two members who spoke out were ejected. But this should not discourage those fighting to protect actual women. While there have been losses and setbacks in this fight, there have also been victories. While the left wants to force everyone to acknowledge that people can swap genders, I still believe the majority of the public knows this isn’t true and is unwilling to go along with that particular charade. The progressives have the bully pulpit in the media, but the more of us who are willing to speak out, the more progress we will make in ending this demonic foolishness.
