Prisons are supposed to exist, in part, to protect the public from dangerous individuals who have committed crimes that have violated other people's rights. This is particularly applicable in the case of violent criminals who pose a threat to law-abiding folks. However, now that progressives have managed to infest America's institutions with their backwards ideology on gender identity, it is at least one segment of the prison population that also needs protection: Female inmates.
The issue of biological males being kept in facilities with biological females has been the subject of fiery debate over the past few years. Those opposing the practice argue that men who are more physically powerful than women could threaten their safety.
Information coming out of Wisconsin's Department of Corrections (DOC) reveals that not only are they housing transgender females with biological women, but at least half of the biological male inmates are in prison for sexual crimes:
The Heritage Foundation sent a public records request to the Wisconsin Department of Corrections (DOC) in April 2022 asking for information regarding transgender inmates with sex crime records, according to documents obtained by the Daily Caller News Foundation. The request was answered over a year later on Aug. 8, with documents showing that as of July 21, 81 of the 161 transgender inmates in the female prisons had a record of sexual abuse. Details were not disclosed by the DOC regarding how many transgender inmates applied to a women’s facility and the number of requests granted, according to the documents. The prison system also did not provide how many had transferred with sex crimes on their record or how many were charged while in prison.

The records show that these individuals were convicted "of at least one count of sexual assault or sexual abuse."
According to state law, sexual assault includes anyone who performs sexual actions on another person "with force or the threat of force." This includes having sexual intercourse, sexual contact, committing an act of sexual gratification, sexual exploitation of a child, and a host of other atrocities.
These numbers are hard to ignore. They raise even more concerns about making female inmates vulnerable to being sexually assaulted while they are serving out their sentences.
The documents do not detail the comprehensive criminal backgrounds of the transgender female inmates. We have no idea whether these folks have committed multiple sexual crimes or if they victimized other inmates while incarcerated. This revelation calls for an overall investigation into this issue in all states.
The question that immediately comes to mind is: Why are we compromising the safety of female inmates in order to accommodate progressive gender identity?
Those on the hard left might argue that each inmate deserves to be treated according to their chosen gender identity. Even in prison, we must ensure that we are being inclusive, even if it means a few biological females get raped or otherwise sexually abused. The eggs they are willing to crack to make this grotesque omelet are quite sickening.
The bottom line is that when half of the biological males who are being allowed to be housed with women are sex offenders, there is a serious problem that should not be ignored or swept under the rug. I suspect that when information comes out detailing the frequency with which these individuals abuse female inmates, the numbers will be even more nauseating.
There has to be a better way to handle this issue.
It is one thing to promote inclusiveness. It is quite another to recklessly trap vulnerable women with potential predators in the name of "acceptance." Unfortunately, those on the hard left are more than willing to allow more people to be victimized as long as they can go on social media and virtue signal to their friends to make themselves feel noble. Hopefully, there will be enough people who wake up and fight to bring sanity to the situation.
