The fact that there are so many people in the chattering class and the government who are willing to use such ruthless tactics to protect their effort to foist transgender ideology on children shows how depraved parts of our country have become. Before, progressives would settle for simply trying to shame people into accepting adults who believed they were the opposite gender.
They used slurs like “transphobe” to refer to anyone who believes that men are men and women are women. Up until a few years ago, this is about as far as it would go. But now that they are so desperate to convince as many children that they are transgender as possible, they have escalated their tactics. Enter country music star Jason Aldean, who just became the latest target of the progressive mob.
The situation started when Brittany Aldean, Jason’s wife, came under fire for daring to suggest that transgender surgery for minors was not exactly the ideal solution for those experiencing gender dysphoria. “Advocating for the genital mutilation of children under the disguise of love and calling it ‘gender affirming care’ is one of the worst evils,” she wrote in an Instagram post.
In another post, she said she was happy her parents didn’t “change her gender” when she went through her “tomboy phase.”
This is a reference to efforts on the part of progressives to suggest that if a girl exhibits masculine tendencies or vice versa, it must mean they are likely transgender.
Jason responded to his wife’s post: “LMAO!! I’m glad they didn’t too, cause you and I wouldn’t have worked out.”
Shortly after Brittany’s post, The GreenRoom, a Nashville public relations firm, dropped Jason as a client. They did not mention the social media mob’s backlash against her post, but it’s fairly obvious this is what sparked the company’s decision.
“Music has always been and remains The GreenRoom’s core focus, so we had to make the difficult decision after 17 years to step away from representing Jason,” one of the company’s founders said in a k to Billboard. “We aren’t the best people for the gig anymore, but will always be big fans of his music — he is one of the greatest live entertainers in country music.”
During an appearance on “Tucker Carlson Tonight,” Brittany elaborated on her post.
“I’m advocating for children,” she said. “I think that children should not be allowed to make these life-changing decisions at such a young age. They are not mature enough. They should have parents that love them and advocate for them regardless. We have ages on everything, right? We have it for cigarettes, we have it for driving, we have it for military, voting.”
She continued: “Yet for some reason, people think that we can let a child choose their gender so young? It’s very baffling to me.”
This is yet another example illustrating how far the Cancel Culture Community and the progressive pro-trans lobby is willing to go to enforce adherence to their ideology – especially when it comes to encouraging minors to undergo dangerous and harmful medical procedures. They play on the cowardice of folks like the ones at The Greenroom who are too afraid of backlash coming from far leftists who make up a small share of the public.
But the reason these people resort to these measures is that they know most are not on board with their agenda. They have all but completely abandoned using persuasion and reason to convince folks that they are right – because they know this type of endeavor would fail. This is why they have to use intimidation tactics to force people to comply with them. But, like all bullies, these methods won’t work if people just fight back. Unfortunately, in this case, it did not happen. Nevertheless, not everyone is willing to take this lying down. Hopefully, there will be more in the future.
