The Biden administration has once again shown that it does not truly care about misinformation. While Democrats and their comrades in the activist media have railed against false narratives – except for the ones they promote – it has become clear that their fixation on misinformation is nothing more than a cover for their true agenda: Suppressing voices they don’t like.
Last week, the White House announced it was enlisting Karine Jean-Pierre to replace press secretary Jen Psaki after she resigns on May 13th. It was touted as a historic moment. The nation would finally have its first black homosexual official tasked with lying to the public about the many failings of the president. The announcement came about a week after it was revealed that the administration had created a Disinformation Governance Board ostensibly to counter false information coming from foreign actors like Russia and Mexican cartels.
However, the appointment of Jean-Pierre is yet another action that contradicts their stated goal of correcting disinformation. After the announcement of her new role, it did not take long for the incoming press secretary’s past tweets to surface. It turns out she was an enthusiastic purveyor of disinformation in the past, especially when it concerned Georgia’s 2018 gubernatorial race and the 2016 presidential election.
Jean-Pierre posted tweets claiming former President Donald Trump’s election was illegitimate and that failed Democratic gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams was the true winner of the 2018 election. In one tweet, she wrote:
Stolen emails, stolen drone, stolen election …..welcome to the world of #unpresidented Trump

Here’s another in which Jean-Pierre pretends Trump did not fairly win the election:
Trump always finds a way to take it to the lowest of lows. Not only is he petulant dotard but also a deplorable illegitimate president.

In April 2020, Jean-Pierre claimed Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp stole the election from Stacey Abrams:

Of course, I probably don’t need to tell you that the incoming press secretary provided no evidence to back up her claims. The tweets were representative of the typical #BlueAnon type of behavior we have seen on the left. They chide Trump supporters for questioning the results of the 2020 presidential election, but most of them still believe Russia stole the 2016 election for Trump according to a recent Rasmussen poll.
The Biden administration also contradicted its purported stance against disinformation when it appointed Nina Jankowicz as the head of the Disinformation Governance Board, AKA the “Ministry of Truth.”
Despite being a supposed disinformation expert, Jankowicz did her share of spreading fake news. When the news broke about Hunter Biden’s laptop and his shady foreign business dealings, she claimed it was another example of Russian disinformation. She helped to promote the left’s narrative that the Kremlin somehow set up the whole scandal. The disinformation czar also defended the now-debunked Steele dossier, which made a series of scandalous and lascivious accusations against Trump. Indeed, she, along with others, defended an authentic example of Russian disinformation for political expediency.
So how is America supposed to take this president seriously when he claims to be battling disinformation? The truth is that we can’t.
What Democrats don’t want people to know is that when they use words like “disinformation” or “misinformation,” they are not referring to actual false information. They are referring to opinions, views, arguments, and ideologies they do not like. These people were never concerned about ensuring people are getting accurate information – they wish only to make sure their narratives are the only ones that are acceptable.
This is about censorship and suppressing certain views, nothing more, nothing less.
This administration will never do anything to combat false narratives coming from left-wing sources just as censors on Twitter and Facebook never correct false news stories coming from CNN, MSNBC, and other left-wing activist media outlets. All of their efforts will go one way. The fact that they are blatantly using the state to enforce their censorious efforts shows just how far these people will go to prevent people from expressing their views. If there is no widespread backlash against their machinations, they just might succeed.
