Meghan McCain, co-host of “The View,” excoriated House Republicans over rumors that they plan to remove Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY) from her position as GOP House Republican conference chair. The issue has become the subject of debate as more and more of the lawmaker’s allies began turning on her due to her apparent fixation on former President Donald Trump.
On Wednesday McCain, who is the only right-leaning host on the show, cut a scathing video in which she ripped the GOP for daring to suggest that Cheney might no longer be an appropriate leader for Republicans in Congress. “They’re shivving her for her … saying that the election wasn’t stolen and for refusing to debase herself to Cheeto Jesus,” she ranted.
"Let's cut the crap." Meghan McCain accused House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy of "intentionally" trashing Rep. Liz Cheney on a hot mic.

McCain insisted that the only reason why Cheney was been targeted was that she does not like Trump or agree with his contention that the Democrats stole the presidential election in 2020. She suggested that Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-NY), Cheney’s likely replacement, would be more willing to bow down to Trump.
But as with other Republican establishment types, McCain is failing to read the room and does not seem to understand the underlying issues around Cheney. Out of the kindness of my heart, I made my own video with a rant that should educate her and the rest of the establishment on what is happening here.
The reality is that this is not about Trump and Cheney; it is about the non-establishment base and the establishment elites who have spent their time in Washington dreaming up more creative ways to do absolutely nothing for their constituents. This is the message that rank-and-file conservatives are sending to the establishment types. Unfortunately for the elites, they do not seem to realize that the writing is on the wall.
