Conservatives, Please Stop Disappointing Barack Obama

Conservatives, it is of the utmost importance that you don’t engage in behavior that disappoints former President Barack Obama. In a recent interview, Obama stated that he has seen conduct on the right that, frankly, isn’t very nice.

During an interview with CBS’ Gayle King on Sunday, the former president said that it is “disappointing” that more Republican lawmakers are not challenging President Trump’s insistence that voter fraud occurred during the 2020 election. King brought up the subject when she intimated that the possible transition between Trump and former Vice President Joe Biden would not be peaceful if the courts decide that the latter would become the next president.

“It’s clear as we sit here today we’re not gonna have a peaceful transition. I think about [Sen.] John McCain [R-Ariz.] calling. George and Laura Bush welcoming you and Michelle Obama to the White House,” King suggested.

The journalist then recalled Obama’s meeting with Trump at the White House after the 2016 election when the former president told Trump, “We now are going to do everything we can to help you succeed because if you succeed, then the country succeeds.”

King said that Trump “does not seem to have taken a page out of any of those playbooks.” Obama, laughing, responded with, “No.”

After King asked Obama about the support that Republicans in Congress have shown for Trump, Obama replied, “That has been — disappointing.” He continued: “But it’s been sorta par for the course during these four years. They obviously didn’t think there was any fraud going on cause they didn’t say anything about it for the first two days.”

Obama added, “But there’s damage to this because what happens is that the peaceful transfer of power, the notion that any of us who attain an elected office, whether it’s dogcatcher or president, are servants of the people. It’s a temporary job. We’re not above the rules. We’re not above the law. That’s the essence of our democracy.”

Despite the corporate press declaring that  Biden was the winner of the presidential election, questions regarding the integrity of the race remain. Trump, along with other Republicans have pointed to allegations of voter fraud in battleground states like Georgia, Pennsylvania, and Michigan.

The Democrats and their close friends and allies in the establishment media insist that there is no evidence that any fraudulent activity related to the election has occurred. But there is evidence of funny business in the aforementioned battleground states. Indeed, at least 100 people have submitted sworn affidavits under penalty of perjury alleging voter fraud. Over 2,800 individuals submitted incident reports with similar allegations.

But, dear reader, if you are a conservative who thinks these matters should be fully investigated and litigated in court, you are disappointing the Democratic messiah and should stop immediately. Just look the other way and take the “L” on this one. Besides, free and fair elections are rather overrated, aren’t they?
