Ted Cruz was on Morning Joe (again!) and was asked about Attorney General Jeff Sessions testimony before the Senate during his confirmation hearings, as it related to any discussions he had with Russian officials.

As has been reported, Sessions told Senators Al Franken and Bernie Sanders who had no contact with Russian officials about anything related to the campaign but did have a meeting with the Russian ambassador in his office in his capacity as a Senator on the Armed Services Committee.

Here is what Cruz had to say about it:

There is the likelihood enough pressure will come down on Sessions that he will recuse himself from any investigation but the idea that Sessions purposely lied or committed perjury is preposterous.
