1. Has Anyone Checked to See if Glenn Beck is Still on the Air?

In light of the Keith Olbermann news (that he’s out at MSNBC), we might want to check to see if Glenn Beck is still on Fox News. After all, the lefties had a boycott of him going to try to get him canned.

Oh.

What’s that you say?

Glenn Beck is still on the schedule?

Oh. Okay. Thanks for letting me know.

As far as Olbermann goes, we should note that he was not actually fired. It was a mutual decision. We should also note that for all the “climate of hate rhetoric” out there, Olbermann was on MSNBC for eight years. Glenn Beck has only been on Fox since 2008 and even Olbermann’s own compatriot Rachel Maddow says Beck wasn’t as the left claims he is until he went to Fox.

2. How To Repeal ObamaCare

To listen to the liberal media, you would think conservatives had won the first and only battle on ObamaCare repeal –- but already lost the war.

The Washington Post, echoing the almost universal media theme (including Fox), called the vote “largely symbolic.” Over and over again, we have been told that ObamaCare will never be repealed and we are wasting our time to even think about it.

And, incidentally, the stupid Republicans reinforce this theme when they concede at the beginning of each interview that they are too flaccid and ineffectual to prevail. Compare this to the “We will win!” mantra Obama used to pass ObamaCare in the first place.

Ironically, we are probably only about four Senate votes short of sending the repeal bill to Obama’s desk in the 112TH Congress. And, if Republicans have the courage to tack repeal onto the debt limit or continuing resolution, even without those four votes, the House will have the capacity to present Obama with a choice:

  • sign the ObamaCare repeal; or
  • shut down the administration’s rulemaking powers for the next two years.

3. People’s Republic of China Mocks the President (and Us)

The PRC had one of their pet pianists play an anti-American, Korean War-inspired ditty (did you know that we’re jackals? Did you also know that Marxists are incompetent buffoons who can’t feed themselves, or the countries that they manage to control?) at the White House state dinner without the administration twigging to that fact. And it wasn’t really an accident, either. Supposedly, everybody in the PRC with a television set (under different circumstances I could have written that out as ‘everybody in Taiwan,’ but then Taiwan is a First World nation, while the PRC is a Third World one with nukes) was tipped the wink to watch ahead of time. Got to love the professionals running the US Government these days, huh?

4. The Assassination Attempt You Have Not Heard Of

The American Thinker brings us word of an attempted assassination you probably have never heard of.

It happened in September of 2010 in Missouri. A 22 year old named Casey Brezik, wearing a bullet proof vest, charged toward Missouri’s Democratic Governor Jay Nixon with a knife and attempted to slash his throat.

In light of the media’s race to talk about the right’s climate of hateful rhetoric, you have probably guessed by now that Casey Brezik was an anti-Christian, anti-capitalist leftist who participated in a number of leftwing protests. He was also a diagnosed paranoid schizophrenic.

Luckily for all involved, Brezik was high on pot at the time and got confused. Instead of slashing the Governor’s throat, he slashed the throat of a community college dean he took for the Governor.

5. The Oil Spill Commissioner’s Anti-Oil Bias

Former Democratic Senator Bob Graham of Florida is co-chair of the President’s Oil Spill Commission. The Commission, stacked with environmentalists and Harvard lawyers and notably absent any working industry expertise, delivered its report to the President earlier this month. Its contents were predictable, calling for more regulation and more government.

6. Democrats Quickly Pivot to 2012, SEIU-Obama Aide Moves to DNC to Oversee OfA

Having written about the SEIU’s other man in the White House, Patrick Gaspard, on numerous occasions, this news comes as no surprise.

Following the November election, the Democrats are moving quickly to ensure that a repeat “shellacking” doesn’t happen in 2012. In so doing, the DNC is tapping Gaspard, the former political director of New York’s powerful SEIU 1199, to go help the DNC prepare the Democrats’ strategy.
