1. Wait a minute. Wait just one minute on this.

Read it again.

“I don’t sit around just talking to experts because this is a college seminar. We talk to these folks because they potentially have the best answers so I know whose ass to kick.”

He is talking to experts not to find out how to solve the problem but to find out whose ass to kick? Seriously? That is the President of the United States in his own words. There is one well leaking caused by the collapse of one platform owned by one company. Not only has Barack Obama not once talked to the CEO of that company, his big donor British Petroleum, he overreacted and shut down every company’s offshore drilling — every single one. He put, effective immediately, tens of thousands of people on the unemployment line. And in the President of the United States own words, he’s not talking to experts to figure out how to solve the problem, but to figure out who to assign blame to.This is not leadership. Heck, this isn’t even bullying. This is failure. Please click here for the rest of the post.

2. Talk Is Cheap

When George Bush stood on the rubble of the World Trade Center and said, “I can hear you! I can hear you! The rest of the world hears you! And the people — and the people who knocked these buildings down will hear all of us soon!” people knew he meant business.People knew that George Bush would take action. They believed him. When Barack Obama said he wants to find out whose rear end to kick, it’s just a convenient way for him to buy more time to tie this all to George Bush. Please click here for the rest of the post.

3. Deepwater Drilling Moratorium Already Kicking LA’s A$$

It will be a long time before Louisiana and the Gulf South recover from the devastation. I’m not referring to the oil spill. No, it’s the willful and senseless act of a President, desperately searching for some way to control events. It might have made sense to slow down, to reconsider safety procedures, or to step up regulatory vigilence. Instead, Obama leaped off a cliff with no Plan B, thus guaranteeing the loss of thousands of jobs and the permanent dislocation of the deepwater drilling fleet to foreign shores. Please click here for the rest of the post.

4. Even Government Propaganda Can’t Save Obamacare

Your federal tax dollars are being used to send out this fancy Medicare brochure (PDF) to tout the glories and benefits of our Dear Leader’s health care deform plan.If a Republican had done this, Henry Waxman would be demanding an investigation while drafting articles of impeachment. It is actually against the law for the government to propagandize to the American public, but that is exactly what’s happening here.A number of the claims in the brochure are flat out lies and most are great distortions of the truth. It’s all being paid for by you and me. It comes on the heels of Barack Obama trying to yet again sell his health care plan. Why sell it when it does not go into effect for a few more years and it has already passed Congress? To improve Democrats’ chances in November, of course. Duh.Let’s take a walk down memory lane and remember that past performance is the best indication of future success. So you liberals shouldn’t expect this time will be any more successful than all the other times. Please click here for the rest of the post.

5. The Most Dangerous Woman

They called Nikki Haley a whore. They called her a raghead. Now they better start practicing calling her Governor.Nikki Haley came within a percentage point or two of avoiding a runoff for the Republican nomination in South Carolina. Despite all the smears and all the foul play, she is a winner. The second place finisher, Congressman Gresham Barrett, goes into the runoff roughly 27% behind Haley.Generally, the second place finisher in a runoff wins if the margin between first and second is 5% or less. Between 5% and 10%, there is a 50-50 chance either could win. Over 10%, the first place candidate usually wins. Over 15%, the first place candidate will win barring major scandal.Nikki Haley will win. Gresham Barrett needs to weigh seriously if he wants to drag this out knowing the odds are so totally against him. This race also makes Nikki Haley the most dangerous woman in South Carolina. Please click here for the rest of the post.

6. Blagojevich Indicts Entire Political Process

The opening statements of the trial of former Governor of Illinois Rod Blagojevich (D-in case you forgot) started today. In a sign that this truly will be one of the great spectator sports, Blagojevich’s attorneys have mounted an interesting defense of their client. Please click here for the rest of the post.

7. Blanche Lincoln Beats the Left

Blanche Lincoln is the Democrats’ nominee in Arkansas. She is the incumbent the leftroots and SEIU tried desperately to defeat.A White House official told the Politico:“Organized labor just flushed $10 million of their members’ money down the toiled on a pointless exercise,” the official said. “If even half that total had been well-targeted and applied in key House races across this country, that could have made a real difference in November.”The left is out spinning ferociously now. Markos Moulitsas, whose DailyKos led the effort to defeat Lincoln, commissioned a poll showing Bill Halter would beat Lincoln. He did not.Now Moulitsas is saying Halter would have been a better nominee in the general election — something no polling except his own (the same one showing Halter would win the primary) has shown. Others on the left are claiming the primary challenge pushed Lincoln’s votes to the left in the Senate. Please click here for the rest of the post.
