Strange Coincidences Surrounding Both the Message and the Messenger of CDC Warning on Coronavirus

On Tuesday, Nancy Messonnier, director of the National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), sounded the alarm on the coronavirus.

Messonnier warned of “community spread” and said it’s not a question of “if” this will happen, but rather “when” it will happen. We must all prepare for “significant disruption” in our lives. Here are some excerpts from her remarks:

As we’ve seen from recent countries with community spread, when it has hit those countries, it has moved quite rapidly. We want to make sure the American public is prepared. As more and more countries experience community spread, successful containment at our borders becomes harder and harder.

Ultimately, we expect we will see spread in this country. It’s not so much a question of if this will happen anymore, but rather a question of exactly when this will happen and how many people in this country will have severe illness.

I understand this whole situation may seem overwhelming and that disruption to everyday life may be severe, but these are things people need to start thinking about now

Right now CDC is operationalizing all of its pandemic preparedness and response plans, working on multiple fronts including specific measures to prepare communities to respond to local transmission of the virus that causes COVID-19. Now is the time for businesses, hospitals, communities, schools, and everyday people to begin preparing as well.

First, it might interest you to know that Messonnier is the sister of former Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein. This is the man who toyed with the idea of wearing a wire into the Oval Office to record the President because he never gets checked by Security when he visits the White House, and the man who brought us the Mueller Investigation.

Last Friday, Democrats received a great gift when The New York Times broke the news that, once again, the Russians were interfering in our 2020 election, and of course, they were trying to help re-elect President Trump. Hysteria from the left ensued over the weekend, including MSNBC’s Lawrence O’Donnell telling his audience that the President of the United States was a Russian operative. Two days later, that gift was snatched from their hands when CNN reported that the intelligence official who had briefed the House Intelligence Committee had “overstated her assessment of 2020 Russian interference.”

Deeply disappointed, but never without a plan, the next order was issued and Democrats throughout the swamp quickly sprang into action. The new narrative would be, ‘President Trump has not done enough to prepare the country for the coronavirus. He did not take it seriously enough. He said that, when the warm weather comes, it will go away like any other flu.’ And, with that, they began to spread the word.

The new narrative was rolled out immediately and effectively. In addition to Rosenstein’s little sister, all the usual suspects did their part.

The headline in The Washington Post warned, “Spread of coronavirus in U.S. appears inevitable, health officials warn, as Trump defends response.” CNN reported “CDC official warns Americans it’s not a question of if coronavirus will spread, but when” and “US health official says coronavirus is moving closer to being a pandemic.”

Even Eric Holder joined the fray, in the form of an insulting tweet in which he curiously included a photo of JFK and RFK.

It’s worked out beautifully. Not that there was really any doubt because these people are professional. They know how to orchestrate a coup.

And, as an added bonus, the stock market shed 2,000 points in two days over coronavirus fears. If only they could cause a recession!

Finally, there’s the issue of timing. President Trump was out of the country on a state visit to India while all of this was ramping up. I suppose we couldn’t expect the Democrats to observe the old rule that politics stop at the water’s edge. They never have before.

In July 2018, days before President Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin were scheduled to meet at the Helsinki summit, Special Counsel Robert Mueller indicted 12 Russian military officials for allegedly hacking into the DNC server.

While the President was attending the Vietnam summit with Kim Jong Un in February 2019, House Democrats were holding a hearing with his former personal attorney, Michael Cohen.

In September 2019, while President Trump was addressing the United Nations, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, with great sadness, announced the impeachment inquiry.

So, I suppose this is business as usual. The Democrats have weaponized the coronavirus.

The President will be addressing this issue at approximately 6:30 pm.
