Did ABC News Try to Pass off 2016 Gun Range Video as Footage of Turkey’s Military Bombing Kurd Civilians? Update: ABC Issues a Correction

President Trump received widespread criticism for his decision to withdraw U.S. forces from northern Syria.


In a weekend broadcast, it sure looks like ABC News tried to pass off dramatic video from a 2016 Knob Creek (West Point, Kentucky) night shoot for footage of “Turkey’s military bombing of Kurd civilians.”

Here is the 2016 Knob Creek video which was uploaded in 2017.

It sure looks like the same video, right down to the formation of the little white lights in the foreground, which are the cell phones of the people  watching the shoot. You can see them clearly in the video.

It’s possible this video was included by mistake, but knowing how the mainstream media operates, I doubt that very much.


If I hear differently, I’ll add an update.

Update: ABC issued a correction. Mistakes happen, of course, but somehow, this doesn’t feel like an error. Readers?
