Following the humiliatingly low opening night attendance of “An Evening With The Clintons,” the ever-resourceful Bill and Hillary Clinton have turned to Groupon to sell tickets. One can purchase a $120.35 ticket for the bargain price of $50 for their May 4, 2019 show.
Of course $50 will only buy you a mid-to-rear section seat, but given the low turnout for their Toronto event where fans filled only 3,300 seats of an arena which can accommodate up to 19,800 (17%), event handlers moved the audience closer to the stage to improve the optics.
Groupon’s event description: “Bill and Hillary Clinton share insights into their years at the center of the Democratic party and discuss the future of American politics.” Sounds enticing!
The offer limits purchases to eight tickets per buyer. They might want to remove that limitation, just sayin.
And, ladies and gentlemen, if you activate the “Ebates” discount, you will receive 6% of your cash back.
Buyers need not rush in to purchase their tickets, for this offer does not expire until May 5th, the day after the event. In fact, chances are, ticket prices will likely go lower the closer we get to May 4th.
I posted about the Toronto event here.
Ticket prices for “An Evening with the Clintons” were initially priced from $200 to $53 (Canadian). Shortly before the event began, tickets were priced as low as $6.55. Contrast this with the overflow crowds Donald Trump attracted at each of his pre-midterm rallies.
Pssst, Bill, Hill, can you hear me? This isn’t a great optic and it doesn’t bode well for your chances in 2020!
