The Emmys strutted across the stage Sunday night with their usual smug self-importance, showering themselves in applause and self-congratulation. But amid all the speeches, the jokes, and the not-so-subtle political one-liners, one thing was glaringly absent: not a single word about the assassination of Charlie Kirk. Not a whisper. Not a mention. Not a second.
This is Hollywood at its most cowardly. The same industry that gave George Floyd multiple dedications, the same one that pounds the table for “justice” every time it fits their narrative, suddenly decided 2025 was the year to go “apolitical.” What a joke.
Host Nate Bargatze admitted the show had been planned in advance to “stay away from politics.” Really? Then why were there speeches about Palestine? Why did we hear shouts of “F*** ICE” echo through the ceremony? So political theater is fine, as long as it’s left-wing political theater. But the cold-blooded murder of a conservative leader? Silence.
The Emmys made ZERO reference to Charlie Kirk who was assassinated.

The message is loud and clear: Some lives are worthy of remembrance, others are disposable if they don’t advance Hollywood’s agenda. Kirk wasn’t merely a conservative voice; he was assassinated for daring to stand on a stage and speak his mind. That should have been the easiest line of the night, “We condemn political violence.” But the industry that pretends to “speak truth to power” couldn’t muster even that.
Why? Because acknowledging Charlie Kirk would force Hollywood to admit the obvious: that violence against conservatives is real, and it is escalating. That doesn’t fit their narrative. It doesn’t sell their story. So instead, they buried it under designer gowns, champagne toasts, and carefully curated applause lines.
Make no mistake, this wasn’t neutrality. This was deliberate omission. A calculated decision to erase Kirk from the conversation. To pretend his murder doesn’t matter. And it’s disgusting.
The Emmys proved last night that Hollywood doesn’t just lean left, it picks winners and losers in human dignity itself. If you’re a progressive cause, you’ll be showered with hashtags and heartfelt speeches. If you’re a conservative who was assassinated for daring to speak, you don’t exist.
That silence wasn’t apolitical. It was political cowardice.
