New Stuff from SHOT Show

• Colt’s reissuing the Delta Elite 10mm 1911 in stainless, and launching a Vietnam-spec M16A1 repro. Most of their new announcements are cosmetic changes to various 1911’s, but the real exciting news is the announcement of a new Cobra .38 Special revolver. (Not a reissue, it’s a new design closer to the old Detective Special than its namesake.)
• Not much for Glock fans… the “big deals” were the new G42 in .380 and a display of Keanu Reeves’s gun from John Wick.
• Inland Manufacturing, mainly notable for their repro M1 Carbines, is diversifying into the suppressor market… their first offering, in .22 rimfire, costs more for the NFA tax-stamp than it does in MSRP. For the classic-minded, they’re also expanding their WWII-repro and war-inspired offerings.
• Benelli has the new Super Black Eagle 3 12-gauge shotgun, optimized for cold-weather hunters.
• IWI is finally bringing their DAN .338 Lapua bolt-gun, weapon of choice to IDF and British commando snipers, to the US market.
• SIG displayed various 7.62mm tactical rifles, the new P220 Legion and a rose-gold-inlaid P238 pocket-pistol.
• Good news for the distaff side: 5.11 is trying to break up their Tacti-Troll Sausage Party image with a line of ruggedized ladieswear.
• Ruger’s got several handgun introductions, including the Mark IV redesign of their classic .22 target pistol.
