Today the U.S. Senate voted 59-41 to revoke President Trump’s State of Emergency Declaration regarding the hostile invasion taking place on our Southern border. Of course all the leftists voted to allow criminals, ill-educated and disease ridden invaders, to cross our border with impunity. That’s to be expected. You don’t get angry when a scorpion stings you; it’s just doing what a scorpion does.
Then there are twelve RINOs
12 GOP votes (so far) to terminate the national emergency declaration:
Wicker
Rubio
Portman
Collins
Murkowski
Toomey
Blunt
Alexander
Romney
Paul
Moran

(with perhaps one or two “conscientious objectors” in the mix) who just couldn’t vote in support of the President and their fellow countrymen. To a man, Leftists, RINOs and the conscientious objectors all cite constitutional concerns with President Trump’s emergency declaration and reprogramming of funds.
My question to these self-righteous Senators, “Why haven’t you introduced legislation modifying or repealing the existing legislation that Congress used to give these powers to the President in the first place? Legislation—a law passed by Congress. You know, that Article I thing?”
The answer of course is, “Because…Trump!”
President Trump will surely veto this attempt to undermine his effort to keep a promise to the American people. And just as sure as the sunrise, the leftists having been thwarted in the legislative process, will once again spin up the lawfare machine.
They will sue in a district court within the 9th Circuit. They will win. The Administration will appeal. The 9th will rule against Trump. The case will end up in the Supreme Court. Unless Chief Justice Roberts has yet another skeleton in his closet making him vulnerable to more blackmail, President Trump should easily prevail.
As this crawls along to it’s inevitable conclusion, President Trump will be presented with multiple opportunities to point out the pusillanimous conduct of the leftists and their RINO enablers. He’ll probably give the true conservatives a pass. Come 2020, President Trump will be able to point to completed sections of wall, along with other sections under construction and claim, “I got this done for you and despite Democrat obstruction.
