WATCH: Illegal Immigrant Tells Fox News 'The Border Is Open'

Fox News National Correspondent Griff Jenkins spoke with migrants from Texas who were bused near Vice President Kamala Harris’ Naval Observatory residence in Washington D.C., and an interview with one migrant was certainly revealing.

“It’s open, not closed. The border is open,” the man said.

Jenkins asked if he believes that the other migrants he’s with are thinking the same.

“Yeah, everybody believes that the border’s open. It’s open because we enter, we come in, free. No problem.”

“But it’s open for you to come illegally, right?”

“Illegally. Yes, illegally. That’s true,” the migrant replied.

“And you came illegally?” Jenkins asked.

“Yeah, we came illegally. Not legal.”

The two buses that arrived Thursday at Naval Observatory carried roughly 100 migrants, most of whom are from Venezuela, according to Fox 5 Washington D.C.

While Govs. Doug Ducey (R-Arizona) and Greg Abbott (R-Texas) were the first to order flights from their states into cities throughout the United States like New York City, Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-Florida) also decided to fly Venezuelan migrants to Martha’s Vineyard, Massachusetts, on Wednesday, as RedState reported.

“We are not a sanctuary state, and it’s better to be able to go to a sanctuary jurisdiction, and yes, we will help facilitate that transport for you to be able to go to greener pastures,” DeSantis said, according to CNN.

“Every community in America should be sharing in the burdens. It shouldn’t all fall on a handful of red states.”
