A federal grand jury indicted former Trump administration economic advisor Peter Navarro on Thursday for ignoring subpoenas from the House Jan. 6 Select Committee, The Hill reported.

He is facing two misdemeanor charges for contempt of Congress, the outlet said. Navarro’s indictment was made public on Friday, and he could spend up to a year in jail and pay up to $100,000 in fines for each count if he’s found guilty, according to The Hill.

According to the Associated Press, the first count is for avoiding a deposition, and the second is for not providing documents that the committee wanted to review. The committee voted to hold Navarro in contempt in April.

Fox News correspondent Chad Pergram pointed out that Steve Bannon is the only other person the Department of Justice came after following a vote by the committee to hold him in contempt, despite former Chief of Staff Mark Meadows and aide Dan Scavino also having votes of contempt against them.

Navarro filed a lawsuit against the committee and the Department of Justice earlier this week over a subpoena, CBS News reported.
